Losing my uncle was one of the most painful experiences for my family, but through it all, Unity Home Care and Assisted Living stood by us every step of the way. From the very beginning, they showed nothing but love, patience, and compassion. They were there during the peak of his illness, during the long days and emotional nights, always making sure he was comfortable and cared for with dignity. What meant the most to me was that they didn’t just care for my uncle—they cared for us as a family. They checked on us, supported us, and made sure we never felt alone. Even after his passing, their kindness stayed with us. That kind of care is rare and truly comes from the heart. I will always be grateful. I have been utilizing care for my grandfather through Unity Homecare Agency-Assisted Living for the past 4 months. I started with in-home hourly care and then transitioned my (dementia) grandfather to the Unity Assisted Living facility 2 months ago. I cannot thank Lois and her staff (Christian and Larry) enough for the care and consideration they have provided my grandfather and my family. Their expertise in dementia care has assisted us in making the proper emotional decision to provide him with the 24/7 supervision, safety, and socialization that he needs. Lois has done a great job in guiding us thru this process properly. It’s a weight lifted off our shoulders knowing he is in a safe environment with a caring staff and “family” of friends he gets to socialize with everyday.
