I have been extremely pleased with Sharon Hauver at Hilltop. I called her in a panic and she has been assisting me with compassion as I go through the arduous process of placing my aunt into long term care. I am from out of town, and she has made that hurdle a non issue. Her commitment and communication is outstanding. It’s clear she loves what she does. I never have to wait on details- she’s thorough and professional. My aunt doesn’t yet reside there, but I have a great feeling I made the best choice for her. Sharon is an excellent ambassador for United Methodist Homes. What a blessing it is to work with such a caring community.

Our sister was a resident at Hilltop for just under a year, until it became evident that her needs required a greater level of care.<br>We found Hilltop to be very well maintained. The spaces were lovely - clean, bright and so nicely decorated for every holiday and season. Overall, the staff was caring, competent and compassionate, ( We call it "the 3 C's.") They developed a very nice rapport with our sister. (A special Shout Out to Sharon Hauver, in admissions, and Tanya, in the nurses' station at 2 West. They were exemplary.) ❤️ Our sister also very much appreciated Adam who is in charge of group activities and the warm and welcoming chaplain.<br>Many of the staff felt like family and their care and concern for our sister was a joy to observe. We felt very fortunate to have found Hilltop and we want to thank everyone involved in our sister's care. Your dedication is to be admired and you all are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Beware what you are getting into! The United Methodist Home - Hilltop Campus Assisted Living does a great job at one thing - that is selling you a story about the care your loved one will get! They are really great at this job! Unfortunately, what happens after the sale occurs is not so pretty. My mother was living in independent living and began to need more care. We were encouraged to apply for the assisted living ASAP as only 1 bed available. We rushed to move our mom and were quite surprised to find several empty rooms! My mom had an individual service plan (ISP) that detailed the supports she would receive. Even with this plan and frequent contacts and meetings to address issues, she did not get these services. That meant she would sit in urine soaked clothes because she was not assisted in the bathroom. She started losing weight because she was not getting needed assistance to eat many meals because she required support due to a vision impairment. We communicated with management several times as all these supports were in the ISP and there was no follow thru even when promised. Aides were always surprised to know about the change. Staff changed frequently so when family came to visit you generally did not talk to the same people. If you want your loved one to get quality care - stay away from this facility!

I recently moved my Mom to the assisted living section and I have to say that Sharon and her staff made this difficult move much easier. She was always willing to take my calls and answer ALL of the many questions that I had!
