My grandmother recently stayed here for rehabilitation after taking a fall and breaking her femur. The entire staff was incredibly efficient, compassionate, and attentive throughout her stay. Emily, the social worker, made communication so easy and was so kind and understanding every step of the way. Andrea, the admissions director, went above and beyond to ensure my grandmother was comfortable and well cared for. Robin, one of the nurses, was amazing. She helped with every little detail possible and went out of her way to make my grandmother feel at home. She even asked what her favorite things were and suggested items to bring, including a blanket. SO caring and thoughtful! Khalia, her first-shift CNA, was absolutely wonderful!!!! My grandmother would text me often to tell me how kind and attentive Khalia was and how well she was being treated. Hser, I believe was on second shift sometime, made her laugh and truly lit up the room. JD worked weekends and made her day by going above and beyond…especially when he took the time to wash her hair, which meant so much to her. Leshanda was another CNA who stood out for her kindness and professionalism. She took the time to explain things to my grandmother, like what the Hoyer lift was when getting her weight, especially after another CNA had been rude and sarcastic about “just walking to the scale” (even though she had a broken femur and hadn’t been cleared by PT yet). Leshanda was always patient, respectful, very often showing up within seconds of the call bell ringing. The nurses on Cascades were also fantastic, professional, patient, and genuinely caring. The room was spacious and very clean, which made her recovery even more comfortable. Occupational and physical therapy were also excellent. She couldn’t remember everyone’s names, but she especially mentioned Allison and Ashley who she said was so great, patient, and easy to talk to. As well as the other PTA or OTA that’s name started with an A,, she was super kind! Overall, we’re so grateful for the amazing care she received. The only suggestion we have is to add a bell on the unit for patients to ring when they’re ready to go home (; it would be such a special and uplifting way to celebrate their progress!
