Visited a family member here. It is an old building and the rooms are outdated. But all of the staff is caring. They are attentive to all of the patients. Friendly. We had a very nice visit. I recommend this place.

Having someone to guide us through keeping my father in laws best interest at heart is amazing. I couldn’t think of a harder job emotionally than working in a memory care facility and the staff seems to handle it with ease.<br><br>The director Latoya had become a mentor I didn’t know I needed. Without her quick responses to all concerns and transparency it would have been hard to build the trust we needed to get through this difficult stage in my father in laws life. She has guided us expertly, talked us through our darkest concerns, and showed compassion when we are at our most vulnerable. Latoya and her staff are masters at easing the suffering that is Dementia and Alzheimer’s and the world needs more folks like them.

I am very pleased with the staff at Toney Rest Home. This is an Adult Rest Home in Oxford just 45 minutes outside of Raleigh, where your loved ones are provided safety, personal care, care coordination, activities and supervision. My mom has been a resident now for a little over a month. Prior to admission, I was her primary caregiver for 2 years. I have hired companion care staff and enrolled mom in adult day care services for the past 2 years. I had to face the reality that I was burnt out and needed more help at home as her dementia progressed. Mom is on a fixed income and we had very few options for memory care facilities in Raleigh. For years, I visited and researched facilities in the Raleigh area and was unsuccessful due to the high cost of memory care and just a very poor experiences during facility visits. A Place For Mom encouraged me to visit Toney for myself and I wish I had sooner. I survived sleepless nights and finally decided to take the trip to visit Toney. Director Latoya Ragland was very patient with me whenever I reached out to her with questions and concerns about admission. She was always responsive and kind. Toney provides a family environment for your loved one. Staff have been excellent with communication. For years I lost out on my PTO at work, taking mom to and from appointments. Toney provides personal care, transportation to appointments, activities for residents and an environment where residents feel at home. I will admit, Toney is not a brand new facility, so if aesthetics are more important to you than actual care, you may look elsewhere. But they have met all of my other expectations and I am so grateful to the staff. The residents here are always alert, a pleasure to engage with and well taken care of. They never appear exit seeking but rather comfortable in their home. My mom has expressed to me how comfortable she is and how clean the facility is kept. I have finally found peace and recommend this facility for anyone who is struggling as a caregiver.

I recently visited a friend here and I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and polite the staff was.my visit was late evening and unannounced...the facility altho it is dated was clean and had a homey fill to it..each resident i encountered appeared clean and relaxed,so for a 1st visit I was impressed...kudos to the staff that was on duty around 8:00pm you guys were so friendly
