After speaking with the Administrator, and now having a better understanding of Timberline’s mission, I’m confident this is a premier skilled nursing/rehab facility. I would absolutely recommend this business, and would even feel comfortable sending my own parents here. 10/10

Recently, I had a family member at Timberline Post Acute Skilled Nursing Facility in Albany for hospice care. Although I already work here, this experience allowed me to see the facility from the perspective of a family member, and it made me even more proud to be part of this team.
The staff showed so much compassion, kindness, and support during such a difficult time for our family. As things became closer to the end, they were incredibly accommodating and thoughtful. They provided us with a private room where we could spend quiet time together and grieve as a family, which meant more than words can express.
They also brought us a comfort cart filled with snacks and items for the kids, which was such a caring gesture during an emotional time. Every nurse and staff member listened to our concerns and addressed them promptly and respectfully.
I’m truly grateful for the care my family member received and for the compassion shown to all of us. This experience reminded me why Timberline is such a special place.

A Professional Family’s Review: Exceptional Clinical Care and Miraculous Recovery at Timberline

My elderly mother recently completed a two-month rehabilitation stay at Timberline following surgery for complex and comminuted fractures. As a family of professionals—including a Medical Doctor (daughter-in-law), a currently practicing Registered Nurse (RN) at a California SNF (niece), and a legal professional with a U.S. law school background (myself)—we observed every detail of the facility through daily visits of 6–7 hours. Based on our professional standards, we wish to share our experience. We have no affiliation with Timberline and are leaving this review entirely of our own volition.

Nursing Staff: Strategic Leadership and High-Performance Care

Director of Nursing (DON) possesses the strategic leadership and commanding presence of General MacArthur or General Patton. Her ability to meticulously direct every nurse and CNA ensured there were zero gaps in patient care, giving us immense confidence in the facility. The nurses were extraordinary—always vigilant with "hawk eyes," they monitored and cared for residents with the speed and precision of a high-performance computer. I never saw a nurse idling; they moved systematically like a CPU, resolving every issue with impressive efficiency.

Another pillar of Timberline is the CNA team. Despite my mother’s dementia and total dependence on ADLs, they visited her dozens of times a day with profound dedication. They combined exceptional professional skills with genuine warmth and humanity. Their compassionate care was truly moving. We are deeply grateful to the entire nursing team.

Physical Therapy (PT): A Scientific Miracle

Given the severity of my mother’s comminuted fractures, we were initially devastated and doubtful she would ever walk again. However, the PT team at Timberline worked a literal miracle. Their daily rehabilitation sessions were scientific and systematic, utilizing a wide array of specialized equipment in the PT room. While a successful surgery is the foundation, it is meaningless without expert rehabilitation. These therapists did not treat their work as just a job; they approached my mother with the patience, encouragement, and love one would give their own family. Their humanity and kindness were the keys to her remarkable recovery.

Attentive Doctors and Geriatric Expertise:

The doctors took the time to listen deeply to my mother’s unique needs and the specific concerns of our family. They spent significant time personally checking every detail, adjusting orders, and preventing potential issues before they arose. Their specialized training and extensive experience in geriatric care were evident, making us feel completely at ease.

Social Workers, Administration, and Facility Management:

The Social Workers are the "gems" of Timberline. They were incredibly industrious, ensuring my mother’s safety and well-being while maintaining excellent communication with us to resolve every issue. I will never forget them standing at the entrance, warmly waving goodbye to my mother on the day of her discharge.

The Administrator also played a vital role, acting as the captain of the ship. We often saw the Administrator navigating the halls, checking nursing desks and resident rooms to ensure the "Timberline ship" was steered toward maximum satisfaction and safety. We also thank the Financial Manager, who was always kind and helpful during our phone calls. The food was absolutely excellent.

To everyone at Timberline:
Thank you for your professionalism, your heart, and for giving my mother her mobility back. More than just medical care, your team restores the dignity, happiness, and quality of life that every family treasures.

After a hospital stay, my mother with mobility issues, was moved to Timberline for care and physical therapy. The nurses, physical therapists, and staff were wonderful and very helpful in helping her gain confidence and improve her mobility before coming home. Staff were always friendly, uplifting, and had a positive attitude. We are very grateful for care that was provided to my mother during a hard time.
