When you leave a poor review on their survey it just says broken link. This place treated my father in law terribly. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

In December, my mom-suffering from heart conditions-was transferred to Thrive of Fox Valley from Rush Copley Hospital. The staff abandoned my mom in a cold, unheated room, with no blanket. My mom finally got staff’s attention to ask for blankets and socks. She was rudely told, “we don’t have socks…” Staff was annoyed with her need for blankets. The staff’s hostility against my mom’s needs escalated.

Thrive staff removed my mom her from her room in the middle of the night, took her back to Rush Copley Hospital in their painful, rickety vehicle, and left her for dead in the Rush Copley hospital garage in a stretcher all night, wearing only her hospital gown. It took Rush Copley staff hours to discover my mom shivering and cold in their “Emergency Room”. We were billed for the Ridge Ambulance that Rush Copley called to retrieve my mom at sunrise and take her back to Thrive of Fox Valley.

For the last year of her life, my mom suffered flashbacks of Thrive’s endangerment and abandonment she survived overnight in the cold garage of Rush Copley “Emergency Room”. When I tried to confront Thrive, I was dismissed and gaslighted. We were given a walker, as a cheap consolation prize.

Thrive of Fox Valley is outside our house. Their ambulance traffic flashes through our living room. I’m living in the shadows of my late mom’s abusers and taunted by their flashing ambulance traffic. Our trauma is repeatedly hidden, and I hit the Edit button to bring it back.

Between the brutality of Thrive of Fox Valley and the negligence of Rush Copley Hospital, my mom was slowly killed over her last year.
