In April of 2025 we had to find accommodations for my 87 year old father. At the time we had to move him to Farmington due to lack of affordable available facilities in Durango Co. area. We would have liked to have him closer but when I toured the facility I felt very comfortable with it. When they told me they were in the process of building another in Durango I was thrilled. We moved him in with an assurance he would have a spot when the new facility opened. As these things do, it took time but he will be moving to the newly opened facility in a couple weeks. I’m told there are 17 total residents making the move in order to be closer to family and friends here. The staff has coordinated the move for them from packing belongings, moving trucks and resident’s transportation at no extra charge to our family. I am very grateful for that, especially since I will be away at my Sister’s wedding which was planned almost a year ago.
Over the last year+ we have been very happy with his care. The staff and the care have been great! The facility is always clean when I visit and the family gatherings I’ve attended celebrating holidays have been well executed, festive, and the staff works very hard to make them special. I highly recommend that anyone interested take a tour and check it out. The price is much more affordable than any we’ve seen closer to home and they are very helpful any time I have questions, special requests or just need them to give him messages.
I feel confident the care at the new Mesa Verde Estates facility will be just as satisfactory. Also, both facilities are within minutes of local hospitals and medical offices. This type of Assisted Living/Memory care home has been sorely need here for a very long time.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE AT THREE RIVERS ESTATES! 💗
