Thornwald has done a wonderful job caring for my elderly sister for the past nine months. Their entire staff, from physicians, nurses, to aids have provided top-level care and compassion for my sister's complex medical issues. I would highly recommend Thornwald to anyone seeking a quality LTC facility for their loved one.

I can't say enough great things about our experience at Thornwald Skilled Nursing Care. Our Mom was here following a 3 week hospital stay after an unexpected major surgery. A Rehab Hospital was not an option but was too weak to take care of herself to go home, so she stayed at Thornwald Skilled Nursing for 2+ weeks to continue to improve. It started with exceptional care and communication from their Social Worker, Kathleen, to great care from the nursing staff and Aides, and PT and OT. And while we all know your meals can make or break any experience, my Mom was very happy and appreciative all of the great meals! (We were relieved to hear that!)

Transitions from a hospital or nursing facility is vey stressful on families, especially when you're coming home with new medical equipment and/or need home nursing care. But what made this all the more possible and doable was the great care, compassion and communication from their social worker, Kathleen, and their nursing staff. It's really hard no matter what, but they made it easier. We felt supported during a time when you feel so alone and stressed and we really needed that kind of support and encouragement.

We had a very positive experience with Thornwald Home. My mom was in the hospital for 3 weeks, and was in need of a skilled nursing facility for 2+ weeks before she could transition home. Our social worker at Thornwald, Kathleen, was very supportive in our onboarding process all the way through to our transition to home health at the end of our stay. The medical staff was phenomenal in their care and ongoing support of my mom's complex needs with her wound care, and the ongoing OT and PT helped her gain the strength, balance and independence to be able to transition home safely. She also thought the food was great, the variety of the menu was wonderful, and the facility was very clean.

It's never an easy situation for your loved one to need this level of care, and I have to commend all of the social workers, nursing staff and therapists that manage and triage so many needs at the same time. They truly are a blessing, and I'm so grateful for all of their support during a vulnerable time in my mom's healing process. I can't say enough good things about our experience at Thornwald.

My mother is at Thornwald and our family is very pleased with her care. Clean, friendly staff, returns phone calls promptly, has all the amenities one could ask for. The only thing I wish the facility would provide is transportation for residents in case the resident has no way to make it to a dr appt. Sometimes we are unable to provide it and have to reschedule at the last minute. Other than that we have no worries of our mother's care.

My dad stays here and I am very happy with the staff, services offered, and the food. I honestly don't think that I could wish for a better place to take care of my dad. Everything is great. Would definitely recommend.
