I have lived at Windsor in Bradenton for four years. Recently, we got a new Resident Director. She is the best one we have had since I have lived here. She has hired exceptionally good people and taken time to make sure that they are qualified. She helps out if we are short and she has done the best job of any Resident Director we have ever had. Thank you.

So disappointed. The last group of Darryl, Raven and Michael was fabulous. This felt like a caring community and a home. Raven took care of us, Darryl listened and Michael made us smile. I loved being here. Then overnight Darryl and Michael disappear, here enters Sandy. I don’t recognize this place now. We’re told where we can go, what we can do,where we can sit, how much food we’re allowed to eat. Transport cut back and I was told by Sandy if I needed to go somewhere outside the small transport window, take public transportation. Activities are a joke! Cheap and unimaginative. The old group told us this was our home, now it’s a dictatorship. We pay too much money to be treated like we’re children. I don’t feel at home anymore. What’s worse is no one is happy, the last council meeting was nothing but complaints and they don’t care, as long as they get their money. No one cares about us who have to live here. We deserve better.

The Windsor of Bradenton is a truly wonderful community! The residents are warm and engaging, and the care staff is compassionate, attentive, and dedicated. The community is always clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming setting for both residents and their guests. The new director is a breath of fresh air! You can already see positive improvements, (the food for one, and the respect and equal treatment of all residents for another). I only wish more people knew how special this place is!

I am writing as a family member of a current resident, and I feel compelled to share serious concerns about the current state of this community. Since the departure of prior leadership, there has been a noticeable and concerning decline in the overall environment and resident experience. Under previous leadership, the community felt warm, connected, and responsive. Residents felt heard and valued, and there was a clear culture of communication and teamwork among staff. The atmosphere under new leadership now feels significantly less personal and more institutional. Leadership presence and accessibility appear diminished, and the sense of community that once existed has weakened. Staff morale also seems to have declined, which has not gone unnoticed by residents and families. I have personally observed, and heard directly from others, growing concern and dissatisfaction. Many residents and families are considering leaving, including my own family member. This is not an isolated sentiment. What is equally concerning is how feedback has been handled. In response to raising these concerns, the communication received from regional leadership was largely generic and dismissive in tone, focused on outlining internal transitions, new hires, and assurances that everything is moving in the right direction. While those updates may sound positive on paper, they directly contradict what is actually being experienced within the community. There was little acknowledgment of the specific concerns raised, and the response did not reflect a genuine effort to understand or address the underlying issues. Instead, it came across as a broad “we do not agree with your assessment” stance without meaningful engagement. At this point, it is difficult to feel confident that leadership is fully recognizing or prioritizing the concerns being expressed by residents and families. If meaningful improvements were underway, they would likely already be evident in the day to day experience. This community has demonstrated in the past that it is capable of providing an exceptional environment. Unfortunately, it appears to be moving in the opposite direction. As a result, we are looking into alternative communities at this time.

Windsor of Bradenton is a top notch community! Their staff always is friendly, warm, and caring. They take immense pride in their responsibilities they have chosen to take on and it definitely shows. Their community is always spotless, and the attention to detail from outside to inside is unmatched! My family is beyond pleased our Mom has chosen to be part of this community. The residents and staff have welcomed her as if they have known her for years. I would highly recommend Windsor of Bradenton if your family is looking for an assisted living community.
