If I could give this place negative stars, I would. My father-in-law was in their care recently due to leg pain, and to say this place is not up to code is an understatement.<br><br>I want to share what he experienced, because families deserve to know what they may be walking into.<br><br>The staffing situation was a serious problem. The patient-to-nurse ratio was way off, and it showed. When my father-in-law asked for his medication, he waited over 14 hours to receive it, even though it was already time for his dose. When someone has an urgent need, that kind of wait stops being an inconvenience and becomes a safety issue.<br><br>Speaking of safety, my father-in-law has COPD and asked for a rescue inhaler. Instead of providing the one that was actually prescribed to him, staff handed him another patient's inhaler to use. That is not only unsanitary, it is a violation of state health code. Full stop.<br><br>Getting in touch with anyone at this facility was nearly impossible. I called the nursing station twice a day to check in and keep the family updated, and I could not get anyone to pick up the phone. I had to go directly to the Director of Nursing on multiple occasions just to get basic updates on his condition. That should never be the only way a family can stay informed.<br><br>The cleanliness of the facility was another concern. On more than one occasion, his roommate left the shared bathroom in a terrible state, and rather than sending housekeeping in to address it, staff left it that way until the next morning's day shift. This meant my father-in-law had no access to the restroom in his own room and came very close to having an accident because of it.<br><br>Finally, the attitude of some night shift staff left a lot to be desired. One night he slept through dinner because of a COPD episode. When he woke up hungry and asked for something to eat, they brought him a peanut butter sandwich at 2 am, which the CNA slammed onto the table in front of him and said, "Here is your dang sandwich." He is a patient recovering from a serious health event. He deserved better than that.<br><br>If you are considering placing a loved one here, please think carefully.<br><br>I have already called the state on them and reported them.

Please for the love of GOD read this review. Since the new administrator has taken over there have been many many changes that are jeopardizing the welfare of the residents. Please please don’t leave your family member here. He has made so many “budget cuts” and staffing changes it is dangerous for a person that has any sort of complex issues at risk. More than a few people have died there recently due to negligence. He has cut the staff to 2 nurses at night for approximately 80 patients. And I don’t mean long term patients either. They are skilled patients that need a lot of care more than 1 nurse can adequately accommodate. For instance a trach patient, and very few of the nurses there have any sort of education with or have never cared for a trach patient before. These issues have come up and swept under the rug. People are DYING!!! Due to nurses not having enough time to evaluate residents when a problem arises. 4 people have died in the last 2 months from neglect who would probably not have died if they had been properly treated before it was too late. The CNA’s work short EVERY day and are told “that’s just the way it’s going to be.” Staff has begged for the necessary equipment to do their jobs and it falls on deaf ears. The new administrator Jayson only cares about the money. He never interacts with the residents or the staff for that matter. This is not a revenge post as some may believe. It is a post to try and warn people that may be considering placing a family member here. If you really love and care for your family DONOT consider The Waters. And if you currently have family there now consider getting them out! Infiniti Healthcare sent Jayson there to turn the profit around and he is taking it very seriously at the expense of keeping the residents safe. The building is falling apart and they are hanging pictures, putting furniture in front of holes and cobbling up MAJOR electrical issues that put residents at risk when the generator wouldn’t work properly. Half the outlets don’t work. Residents are going hours without necessary oxygen or breathing machines without knowing. The building is held together by duct tape and a prayer, but boy is that bottom line looking good!
