Having had our mom in 2 other facilities here locally I would definitely recommend Agape.
The care she's gotten here far exceeds both the others! Amazing care, not having to call all throughout day to get her help! They check on her so often she seldom ever uses call light! She loves it here and the most compassionate CNAs
Also the food is great! She was always getting sick after eating the last place and here it's always warm, good healthy meals!
This place is Godsent for us!

Agape Nursing and Rehab in Johnson City is one of the most disturbing places I’ve ever stepped into. I had a family member here recently, and I pulled them out as fast as I possibly could — because I was genuinely scared for their safety.

The things I witnessed and learned were horrifying. CNAs are vaping marijuana at the nurses’ station and sneaking off into rooms to do it while on the job. This is not just a rumor — it’s well-known within the facility and has been repeatedly reported to management. And what has been done about it? Nothing. No accountability. No action. Just silence.

They allow certain staff members to show up high and care for elderly residents — and that’s exactly who was caring for my loved one. 9 times out of 10, someone under the influence is in charge of medications, hygiene, meals, and care.

Meanwhile, the few staff who actually want to do their jobs right and speak up about the abuse and drug use are punished and retaliated against. Management piles impossible workloads on employees who shouldn’t be physically doing that much, while the ones vaping THC are left alone.

This place is toxic, unsafe, and in my opinion, criminally negligent. I’ve already submitted a formal report to the state, and I’ve been told a full investigation and drug screening is being launched.

Until major changes happen here — DO NOT risk the health or life of your loved one at this facility. I trusted them once, and I’ll never make that mistake again.
