I want to thank the reserve for caring for my mother the 3 weeks after her hospital stay. The social worker was nice and responsive. My mom really liked her aides Jewel and Theresa. She got a kick (no pun intended) out of Brandon in PT. She liked Andrew and Alex as well. Everyone was nice to me as I visited my mom daily. I can’t remember the lady’s name at the front desk. But she was always so pleasant and warm when I signed in. Thank you Reserve! We pray we won’t be back, except for a visit.

Update July 11, 2026
Saddens me to report that my mom had to come back. We have only been here1.5 days and I’m not pleased the 2nd time around. My mom’s tv doesn’t work. I know that may sound trivial but it gets lonely in these rooms. I’ll be back to update.

I had a truly wonderful experience at The Reserve at Richardson today. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and well cared for. The community itself is beautiful and thoughtfully maintained, but what really stood out to me was the people. I had the pleasure of meeting Denver, Sheena, and Dara, and they were all incredibly kind, professional, and genuine. Denver took the time to speak with me in a way that felt personal and engaging, and we had a great conversation that went beyond just work. Sheena and Dara were also very welcoming and added to the overall family-like feel of the environment. What stood out most was how natural and comfortable the interactions felt. It’s clear that The Reserve at Richardson has built a culture centered around care, respect, and connection. Overall, it was hands down one of my best visits since starting in my role. I left feeling grateful for the experience and even more excited about the potential to work together in the future. Highly recommend The Reserve at Richardson for both its beautiful setting and its outstanding team.

If you’re seeking quality care, look elsewhere. The Executive Director, Roy Lee Hurst, appears to care more about collecting Medicare payments than actually caring for the residents. He has no problem cramming three residents into a room that is only meant for two. There is a clear double standard in how residents are treated. Roy bends the rules for some while unfairly targeting and mistreating others. The obvious favoritism and poor leadership create an unfair and stressful environment for residents and their families. If you are considering this facility for a loved one, steer clear.

This facility would have gotten a 5 star if it wasn’t for nursing staff taking 1-1.5 hours to provide pain medication when asked for. I know they are busy but 1-1.5 hours in pain before you receive pain meds, and then it takes another 45 mins to start to kick in. All other staff is AMAZING. It wasn’t just our family member having issues with medication and the nurses. Multiple other patients, and family members also expressed grievances throughout our stay with medication that must be giving at a specific time, or pain medication given in a reasonable timely manner. Techs are amazing, kitchen is amazing, activity planner is amazing, front door staff is amazing, PT staff is amazing, and we never smelled anything soiled the whole time during our stay. They keep the facility very clean. Would use again if needed.
