I love living here! TodayI slept in a bit while Annie did an excellent job of cleaning my apartment. Then I spent time at the pool, attended a drawing class taught by HJ, worked on a couple of hobbies, and visited with many friends. I enjoyed Orange Salad and Italian Wedding soup for lunch. My dinner was a Korean Beef stir fry prepared and served by our professional kitchen staff.

The gratefulness I have to the Preston is difficult to put into words, but I want anyone who is considering moving themselves or their family to know that this is a truly unique place full of people who have genuine care in their hearts.

Finding the right place for my father’s final season was difficult. He absolutely hated the lack of privacy and control that he experienced while staying a Christian nonprofit assisted living facility in town. This caused him a lot of stress and caused further deterioration to his health and mental state. My only regret is that we did not get him to the Preston sooner, where I think he could have thrived longer had he not been sent into a terrible depression from his prior living situation.

By the time we moved him into the Preston, I honestly had lost faith that there was any support to be found, but from day one I was continuously shocked by empathy the Preston team provided to him and myself. They were so understanding, so willing to converse and interact with him, kept communication channels open with me (I could NEVER get anyone on the phone where he lived previously). Every interaction, every time, even the difficult conversations: they treated us with the utmost care and respect.

I once met one of the owners and he said he wanted to create this place because he wanted to create a place his parents could thrive. I can vouch that the Preston is exactly that. It is beautiful, has wonderful food, and employs good, caring people. It was also over a $1,000 less expensive a month than the place where he received far worse treatment, cleanliness, and food!

I could write a novel and still not be able to cover the many ways in which the Preston brought peace to my father and I during this time. Megan, Diane, Brenda, the chefs and servers, the caregivers, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You brought so much comfort and stability to our lives, allowing us to have happy moments and memories that otherwise would not have been possible. You made such a difference in our lives and will continue to do so for others. I am forever grateful.

I did a tour on Monday, February 16th, 2026. Katherine was very gracious, answered all my questions and did not make me feel rushed, but made me feel important and like I was welcome. She told me the story behind The Preston, who the owners are, why it was created and the theme throughout the building. They pretty much have everything you could want to be able to retire in luxury. I was treated to a wonderful dinner, free of charge. I was greeted by a young man named Ben, who was young, but had the best customer service I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. Everyone needs a Ben. OR maybe Ben needs to train new staff. Not only did he tell me about the menu, but he also told me about all The Preston had to offer. He spoke so highly of all his coworkers, and you knew he loves his job by the way he spoke about The Preston. All in all, I would highly Recommend you at least taking a tour to this amazing living community.

Transparency Warning: High Level of Review Curation
The Preston is a high-end facility, but prospective residents should be aware that the 4.9+ star rating is heavily influenced by professional reputation management.
After analyzing the feedback, a large portion of the reviews (roughly 70%) appear to be 'insider' posts rather than organic resident experiences. There is a visible pattern of reviews from individuals with clear professional or personal ties to the staff, alongside many 'Tour-only' reviews that don't reflect the daily reality of living here.
Most telling is the use of identical marketing slogans like 'life is one long, never-ending vacation' across multiple 'resident' posts. It’s a beautiful building, but I recommend speaking to residents privately rather than relying on this highly manicured online score."
