What a dramatic experience. The admission director Tierra was kind and helpful through it all. The agency help was sometime me. I had to do everything myself with a broken foot. The kitchen was piss poor. They fixed whatever they wanted not on your ticket or diet. The PT was amazing but didn't have the proper paperwork to access proper therapy. My foot was broken and I was walking around with my brace in treatment, doing everything for myself, cleaning up my area and myself and making sure my bed was made. I couldn't ask the aids for ice to put on my foot, the aid thru my water in my bag in the sink and walked out the room. I wouldn't recommend it to nobody. When I realized that I could leave the social worker RJ wanted to ama me out of the facility but I didn't sign we finally agreed to Saturday morning instead of Tuesday . What a feat! Then I had my clothes cleaned and they lost all my shirts. If you had timed medicine you might as well forget it. It might take 3 hours before you get your first dose so it puts your next time in the middle of the night Poor service most of the time if you want to smoke most people put up with it I would rather quit Me never again they even wanted me to pay for transportation. 280.00 for an appointment they setup. The outside activity guy Odell was amazing, he made being here tolerable. He had music for us to listen to and played games with us as well kept the area clean. Discharge was crazy. No gave me the discharge planning to papers or meds for the weekend. Poor service. My is uber ride didn't want to wait 30 minutes for them to get it together so I had to leave without anything I should have left ama. Don't send your loved ones there ever.

Tierra I think she’s a wonderful person and helpful . She is main reason why I decided to stay here. Love seeing her walk by in her fashionable outfits and she always checks on everyone .Any issues the patients have here, we know if we go to her . She will find a way to make it better

My mom is in rehab here and so far every has been very kind and the nurse, Sienna, was very sweet and helpful. The place is still going through a very long overdue upgrades, but that hasn't hindered the great service. They also have many fun and engaging activities to keep the residents busy and a way to enjoy their stay. Highly recommend this rehab.

If I had the option to give zero stars, I would. My family’s experience here was extremely concerning and deeply upsetting. My father was admitted to this facility and remained there for only about a day and a half before we made the decision to transfer him elsewhere due to the conditions we witnessed. The odor of urine and feces throughout the facility was overwhelming to the point that it was difficult to remain in the building without covering your nose. When this concern was raised, the Director explained that it was “changing time.” However, based on my personal experience caring for family members, having a child, and working with disabled individuals, this did not appear to be the normal, temporary smell associated with care routines. It strongly suggested that residents may have been left sitting in urine or feces for extended periods of time. Additionally, the facility was extremely hot and uncomfortable, which raised further concerns about the overall environment residents are expected to live in. It was heartbreaking to witness these conditions, especially knowing that individuals at the end of their lives deserve dignity, comfort, and proper care. Families trust facilities like this with their loved ones, and unfortunately our experience did not reflect the level of care that should be expected. I would strongly encourage families to thoroughly research and carefully consider all options before placing a loved one here.

My mom, Jean Wechselberger, has been a resident at Medford Care Center—now The Pines at Medford—since August 2024. From the moment I first toured the facility, I knew it was the right place for her. The staff is incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely dedicated to the well-being of their residents. Two people who have made an especially meaningful difference are Sue Graubart in the Business Office and Tierra Strothers in Admissions. They were instrumental in helping us secure Medicaid approval and making sure my mom was cared for emotionally and physically during an extremely difficult time. When my mom suffered her stroke, I had only a short window to gather documents, establish POA, and manage her transition. Sue and Tierra guided me through every step with patience, compassion, and professionalism. They went above and beyond—offering not just logistical support, but emotional support as well. I will always be grateful for the comfort and reassurance they gave me then, and continue to give now. Thanks to them, my mom feels loved, safe, and truly at home in her new environment, which is priceless to me. They have consistently been friendly, responsive, and caring, and they truly represent the heart of The Pines at Medford. Their kindness radiates throughout the entire facility—from Joyce and Heather at the front desk to the nurses, aides, and housekeeping staff. Everyone treats my mom with warmth and respect, taking the time to make her feel like more than just a resident. Thank you to the entire team at The Pines at Medford, and a very special thank-you to Sue and Tierra. Your compassion has made all the difference for my mom and our family.
