I was at Wiley Rehab for 13 days and could not have been in better hands. The staff, from nurses, pt, occ pt, nursing aides, office, kitchen staff could not have been more helpful and compassionate. A few notables were: Ruby, she assisted me on very difficult activities (like showering) with special care and kind words. Caitlin, PT the best without her words of encouragement I am not sure I would have had a successful rehab. Brittany, kitchen staff the meals where wonderful, great variety and yummy. Bella, wound nurse a great help when I developed a reaction to my bandage. I could go on the list is long and filled with caring people. I highly recommend Wiley Rehab.

I visited a former neighbor in her new independent living townhouse and was very impressed with the sunny exposure of the kitchen and porch areas and the small but efficient arrangement of interior space. My neighbor is much happier being there and no longer having the responsibility of the upkeep of her home.

I'm sure the care at Wiley is stellar, but my family has had a horrendously unprofessional experience with admissions and social services. We were told for two days that my Father had a bed for sub-acute rehab. We were even given a room number. The holdup to transferring him was supposedly insurance authorization. I spoke with the insurance company at least six times and they assured me that they had not received an authorization request from Wiley nor had Wiley contacted his current facility. At the end of the second day we were told by admissions that they will not have a bed for my Father and they could not tell us why. The head of admissions told us that they were just 'the messenger'. I've yet to hear an explanation or an apology for keeping us hanging for 2 days when we could have been working to have my Father placed elsewhere or moved to a private room at his current facility, which are now all filled.

Wiley has been an ideal residence for my mom. The staff is caring, empathetic, and professional. The Facility is very clean and well run. They have been truly exceptional during the Covid-19 crisis, proactively working to minimize exposure- far lower cases than any other LTC in Burlington County.

My mom rec'd bedsores and a bloodclot that could have been fatal at Brandywine. Luckily, we were able to help her get into Wiley. Wiley is probably just a little less expensive than Brandywine and Wiley isn't fancy like Brandywine but the employees have been there forever so I suspect they have good benefits snd salary (Wiley is non-profit). Wiley's employees are so kind, respectful, properly trained, and attentive. Brandywine has much more turnover. I suspect that BW employees' salaries must not be as good (BW is a for profit corporation). While at Brandywine for, I think, about $13,000/month: 1. a burglar entered the bldg through an unsecured door and robbed some residents' apartments 2. my mother's aid/caregiver stole money, jewelry, creditcards 3. To each other to be funny ( i guess ), caretakers mocked her shaking hands and voice while mimicing my mother saying "please help me" (we caught this on the camera we had to put in after the thefts) 4. She fell in bathroom while getting asst from BW staff (whom, I assume, BW didn't properly train how to do bathroom assts). This lead to decreased mobility, which lead to bloodclots and bedsores because BW did not properly care for her (people get bloodclots and bedsores when they have not been moved for long periods of time). One of her bedsores was literally the size of a fist. And then the little things like 1. finding my mother in soiled PJs at lunchtime 2. Poor cleaning of her apartment 3. a non-functioning call-button 4. The ruination of nice clothing through careless laundry practices 5. line of residents parked like abandoned cars on the street while they await medicine distribution outide the nurses station while aids hang out elsewhere socializing or using their phones. We stupidly thought, you get what you pay for, so we went with the fancy-looking, expensive place. When my mom entered BW, she had no serious medical issues, impairments, or conditions. When we removed her, it was to a hospital to prevent bloodclot from killing her and to prevent more bedsores. Wiley is wonderful--I only wished we discovered it sooner. People with a parent in Wiley can rest easy at night knowing good people, kind people, well trained people, qualified people are taking care of their mothers.
