My father was there, it was an incredible experience through out the process. Barb the director and staff are caring, compassionate, professional and family. The staff works hard to share their expertise and genuine care during this period of the patient’s lives. Always welcoming to us as well visiting and sharing in daily activities. Clean and well maintained! It was a great experience in a tough situation!

We had a very good experience at The Opal BWB. The facility was very clean and set up very well for an assisted living facility. The entire staff was great and very attentive to the needs of our family member and also to us (we had a lot of questions as this was new to us). Just a note, this is NOT a skilled nursing facility - this is an assisted living facility so the services are different and people should be aware before becoming a resident. Again, very good staff (from Executive Director, Med Techs, Nurses and Techs), very nice facility and they treated our family member like a part of their family. The only negative I would add is the food. While the dining area is very nice, the food was acceptable but not great. However, our family member was also a picky eater so we ended up bringing in food at times. Bottom line - The Opal at BWB was great for the needs of our family member and we appreciated the care they provided for our family member.

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with The Opal at Bluewater Bay. I only wish we had found this assisted living facility much sooner. The environment established by Barbara and her staff is always welcoming for residents and family alike. Opal has a very at-home feel, is very clean and tastefully appointed, and the staff’s care for your loved ones is genuine. Living quarters for residents are all functional and modern, and promote a sense of independence and dignity. Meals in the dining room are well thought out and inviting, while patient care, laundry and room cleaning service are performed diligently and with a smile. My family will forever be grateful to Opal for making our Mom feel so welcomed and important, and for comforting our entire family through her time on Hospice. I honestly do not know what we would have done without them.

We had to make the tough decision to move my husbands precious parents (my in loves) to an assisted living facility. We toured several facilities. We chose The Opal! We were welcomed by Barbara and her staff to this lovely, clean, inviting and safe facility. They have a beautiful outdoor area for all residents to enjoy. They have been top notch in taking care of all the needs my in loves have. The nursing staff closely monitors both physical and emotional heath. The staff keeps the family well informed regarding the well being and care of our loved ones. When we visit we are treated like family. We rest knowing our loved ones are happy, well cared for, active, well fed and safe. Many thanks to Barbara and her staff. John and Donna Sizemore

Had 2 family members live at The Opal & highly recommend this assisted Living Facility. Environment provides a home like feel & is very clean. Staff is exceptional in how they care for your loved ones & in how they keep the family well informed of any changes in your loved one’s health. The meals are carefully planned by the chef & are delicious. Social activities are fun for all & your loved one is always encouraged to join. My family members felt loved by the staff as well as safe which is important. They really considered this place home. The greatest compliment I can provide is that Opal at Bluewater Bay would one day be my choice.
