My mother in law died due to poor care here. Got her out and bedside care but her death couldn’t be avoided. Nobody took her needs serious and only cared for the monthly fee to stay.<br>Family took take matters in hand when an employee told of experiences there. They are negligent hoping to get rooms freed for more money. Turnkey for fast room turnover. Don’t send your love ones here.

Being an out of state resident of Colorado, it was a tough decision to make to not move my mother (technically, mother in law) to Colorado. We couldn't afford the relocation and cost of living is higher. We decided to look around the area that she is from and friends are still able to visit. The Legacy was the one and only community that gave me undivided attention during my search as well as during the time we were preparing leading up to move in day. No other community followed up and some never called/emailed me back. The community is brightly lit, residents are happy, staff members are happy, and Karen Lukridge is AMAZING and welcomes you as if you are family! Many activities are planned each day. The apartments are newly renovated with large rooms, bathrooms, and walk-in closets (bigger and nicer than my first apartment!) Knowing that my mother in law is in such great and caring hands at The Legacy has really put my mind at ease as well as my husband's.

With a prognosis of only weeks to live, my father entered the Legacy of Hartsville as a hospice patient and thrived for another year and a half. I can't say enough about Lori and the entire staff, who went out of their way to make Dad feel comfortable, happy, respected and loved during a very difficult time of his life. The family will forever be grateful!

I highly recommend the Legacy of Hartsville as a caring, professional, and active community for your loved one. The current managers and staff are fully dedicated to providing a loving and nurturing environment; it truly feels like a home. My mother lived at the Legacy for 18 months and I knew she was happy there. If you are facing the difficulty of finding the right facility for your loved one you will not regret choosing the Legacy.
