There truly are not enough words to express the love, gratitude, and respect our family has for Kensington Assisted Living in Cumberland, Maryland. My sister-in-law lived there for several years, and throughout every stage of her journey, the staff treated her with incredible patience, kindness, dignity, and compassion. They never made her feel like “just another resident.” They cared for her like family. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable, accepted, safe, and loved. In a world where genuine care can sometimes feel hard to find, Kensington shines brightly. What touched our hearts most was what they did after she passed away a few weeks ago. The staff and residents came together to hold a beautiful little memorial service in her honor. That level of compassion meant more to us than words can say. It showed just how deeply they care not only for the residents, but for the families as well. If you are searching for a place for a loved one and want somewhere filled with warmth, patience, respect, and truly amazing people, I cannot recommend Kensington Assisted Living enough. They are an absolute blessing, and our family will forever be thankful for the love and care they gave her.💕 So, to each of you (Becky, Nicole, Stephanie, Yvonne, the staff etc, Thank you..🥹

I'm not usually one to post reviews but the staff at The Kensington-Cumberland are exceptional. The executive director, Nicole King, has been super helpful and encouraging to me personally throughout the move in process with my mother. My mother has nothing but good things to say about the caregiving staff. She loves Sam doing her laundry. She has made many friends. For my mother not to complain about everything is a testament to all of the staff. She looks forward to the Family Traditions events when her great-great grandson and his fiance as well as myself join her. I am especially grateful she is at the Kensington with the impending snow storm that is on the way because I know she is safe and well taken care of. Again thank you to Nicole, Miranda, Misty and the rest of the staff. You all are amazing!

We have been so pleased with everything about Kensington. Mom was quite hesitant to even consider a move to assisted living. She has been there only about 3 weeks and has been pleasantly surprised. She participates in the activities and has met many of the residents. The staff has been delightful and helpful. They have been so attentive and caring since dad passed during moms third week there and have made the transition as smooth as possible for all of us.

We recently moved our mom into the Kensington from her home of 50+ years. Lots of emotions and change for her but we could not be more pleased! The residents and staff have welcomed her (and us) with open arms and we have been amazed at the amount of amenities and activities available to her at a very reasonable cost. Her comfort and safety were of utmost importance and we have certainly found both here. We highly recommend!

My aunt recently moved into The Kensington and we have been so happy with the facility. It is an older, historic building, but it is not run-down. They have lots of activities, the food is good, and the staff is so kind and patient from the top down. All at a reasonable price! We feel very lucky to have found The Kensington and can recommend it without hesitation!
