I was asked during the care plan meeting with the social worker to give them a review of the good things. The good thing about this place is it was close for my mother. We picked this place based on reviews and the location. Never again will I want a family member to stay here. My father stayed here after being hospitalized due to an infected chemotherapy port. Eight days later he was admitted to the hospital due to severe hydration. Something their nursing staff was also supposed to be monitoring. His bandages from the port removal surgery were NEVER CHANGED. We were the ones who did that. While he was back in the hospital, $40 which had been in his room went missing. There were multiple times he would press the button for assistance and someone would come 30-40 minutes later if we didn’t go to the nurses station where they were sitting, on their phones or on a FaceTime call. The meals were hit and miss. Patients were told if they didn’t like something to tell them and they’d bring something else. That never happened which resulted in us bringing him food. I’m glad my father has been released from this place but not as glad as he is. If another family member has to go into a skilled nursing facility, it won’t be this one.
