My mom was only at the Gables of Marysville, but the staff was amazing. They are so caring and compassionate. My mom was in good hands all the time.

I've been very impressed with the staff, and the care of my special needs brother in law at The Gables in Marysville, Ohio. What a great group of compassionate group of nurses and care givers. The food also has been great.

I cant say enough about this place! Just to mention a few names, Dusti, Jenna, Tabbi, these are only a few that has helped me through this very long process for my father! Everyone is friendly and helpful! They make you feel like your at home! Thank you, Gables!

My mother has been here 3x for rehab after various hospital stays. I was here in July of 2024 after a 2½ month ICU hospitalization. 3 times the care was superb and the food was fantastic. It was more like a resort then a rehab facility. I don't know what happened between Nov 2024 when my mother was there for her 2nd time and Oct 2025 her 3rd time but it was evident there was a major transition from a patient care driven model to a profit driven model. When I was a patient my call light was answered within 3 mins of me activating it. The STNAs were regularly changing my water and checking on me to see if I needed anything. I had both Physical and Occupational therapy everyday. My mother recieved the same treatment her 1st 2 stays. But on her 3rd stay.......her call light would be on for 20 to 30 mins without anyone coming in. Bathroom alarms would regularly be going on 5 to 10 mins before we would see anyone go it. And her therapy PT/OT/Speech was hit or miss. The STNAs did not follow through with therapy plans such as getting up or sitting down in the chair properly or encouraging her to clean or dress herself. They found it easier to just do it themselves them rather then work with her to help prepare her for returning home. We would sit out in the diningroom with her playing games and observe a)not enough staff or b)staff at the nurses station on their phones with patient lights lit up. This was a clear indication of underpaid employees. Consequently resulting in what is considered the bottom of the barrel employees. There were 2 WONDERFUL aides that worked non stop. And a fantastic nurse that we could always count on. Unfortunately they were biding time. It got to the point our family would rotate shifts from 9am to 8pm to make sure mom was taken care of and not sitting in a urine soaked diaper or pad. If we weren't there and came in at 6pm we'd find she was already put to bed....?????? WTH Now its Feb 2026 my mother is back in the hospital looking to go back to a rehab facility and we will not be coming back to the gables. It's truely sad to see the depths its fallen to. Our family has not only been residents of these facilities, I have worked in 2 assisted living rehab facilities in the 80s and done home Healthcare on and off since. My neice is currently the directer of rehab at a facility. So between being an employee, a patient and a family member of a patient I feel well versed in seeing the good, the bad and the ugly. The gables has gone from good to bad and if things do not change it will continue til it's truly ugly. Even the medicare.gov website has down graded them from a 5 star to a 2 star which is horrible to see happen to what was once a premier facility. I hope it changes in the future.
