The Cottages of Emmett memory care are short staffed. My Mom had 3 unattended falls with no one around to help because they are severely understaffed. On the last fall my Mom had a bad fracture on her hip. A few days later she is now dying. The week before we had a meeting with the administrator, hospice nurse and the owner Mark. I expressed my concerns about it being short of staff and my mom falling quite a bit with no one around. And that they needed a 3 caregiver for the amount of patients they have plus they have to cook and clean. His response was and you willing to pay more money for that ! After the last fall my fears happened she broke her hip and declined quickly. As a retired nurse of 25 years I have never experienced a facility that allows caregivers to cook and clean. The lack of short staff is the problem with this facility. Do not put your loved ones in The Cottages of Emmett memory care they are not equipped to do patient care or to monitor a memory care patient. There are two reports filed with the Idaho health and welfare department. Since the Cottages have ignored all my complaints maybe the state can fix it. 4/15/2026 To your response : You did nothing but empty promises and just cashed the checks. You said when I brought my Mom there that you could handle end of life care. Now because of the out come and someone voicing there truth, you want to get rid of her while she’s on her last days of life. Wow, that says it all !
