The Community at Sunset Wood

The Community at Sunset Wood is an independent senior apartment community for residents 62 and older, located in the Village of New Hartford, New York. Established in 1882 and operating as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the community offers gracious living with options for aging in place, including standard suites and spacious penthouses.

The campus features a fine-dining room, recreation room with pool table and shuffleboard, community room with a baby grand piano, a 20-foot granite-top wet bar for private catered parties, and a rooftop patio. A wellness center provides on-site physical and occupational therapy through third-party providers. The community offers private gourmet catering in the dining restaurant, community room, or residents' suites, and maintains a library with fiction, non-fiction, and rotating bestselling books.

Programming is guided by four pillars of wellness, Physical, Mental, Spiritual, and Social, coordinated by the Director of Community Relations to enhance quality of life.
