I am writing to formally lodge a complaint with Baptist Home at Brookmeade regarding the conduct of a licensed physician, Dr. Nitin Jindal, who is registered in New York State, License #326561 The individual concerned is my husband. I am reporting serious misconduct, abuse of position, and actions that I believe have caused significant harm to my health and safety. During my pregnancy, I was subjected to severe mental and emotional distress due to his behavior. More seriously, I was forced to take medication without being properly informed of its nature, purpose, or potential impact. I did not provide informed consent. I have strong reasons to believe that this medication may have contributed to the loss of my pregnancy. Given his medical training and access to prescription medication, I believe this constitutes a grave misuse of medical knowledge and authority, and a serious breach of professional ethics and patient safety standards. This situation raises serious concerns about whether Dr. Nitin Jindal is fit to continue practicing medicine. I request an urgent and thorough investigation into his conduct, and that appropriate disciplinary action be taken, including review of his medical license. I am prepared to provide further details, documentation, and any evidence required to support this complaint. Please treat this matter with urgency and confidentiality.

I can't speak highly enough about this facility and its staff. My brother was on Dove wing for 8 mths, until he passed away January 3, 2026. He was in 3 other facilities before the Baptist. I got him on the waiting list and they called me as soon as they had availability. I fought to get him here but it was worth the wait and the fight. The nurses, aides and office staff knew my brother by name. They treated him like a human being. He knew he was dying, he was scared, sad and sometimes angry. He was not an easy patient and still the people here had compassion and patience. When he complained about one of the other patients walking into his room confused, they didn't think twice. His room was moved across from the nurse station. Not only did this avoid unwanted guests but he could hear the staff outside his room, which gave him comfort. He told me they would sometimes congregate in his room and include him in conversation, laughing with him. There was always someone available to speak to his family as well. With 3 sisters looking out for him this was no easy task either. The Care, the people, the entertainment, the food, the communication 5 STARS! Thank you Meadows at Brookmeade FKA The Baptist Home!

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars! The Meadows at Rhinebeck is a GEM 🏠💛! The care and compassion shown to residents is truly top-notch. Staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring 😊. My experience has been wonderful - clean facilities, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend for loved ones needing excellent care! 💖"

My mother-in-law had advanced Alzheimer's, and during this difficult time, the staff at Brookmeade were nothing short of exceptional. In the two years she lived there, the nursing team treated her with such kindness and compassion, always preserving her dignity, even when confusion took over. Although she often didn’t recognize where she was, her own name, or even the names of the staff, she could always tell who had been kind to her. Her face would light up when she saw familiar, friendly faces, a reminder of the safe and caring environment they provided. In the end, she passed peacefully, surrounded by nurses and staff who made her final moments as comfortable as possible. While no one wishes to spend their final days in a nursing home, sometimes it's necessary. And when that time comes, I truly believe this is the best place for a loved one to be.
