Hi my husband was taken to Westchester med hospital on a ventilator for a month than a trac.he couldn’t talk, walk sit or care for himself.he was transferred to northeast trauma center by ambulance. I would definitely recommend trauma center for pt , ot& speech.my husband can talk, walk& even move his own wheelchair.there just starting on solid foods& hopefully the feeding tube will come out. Sylvia nurse aid is so sweet with my husband & so good with patients.we love her.nurses have been wonderful. Thank you all for the care my husband is getting.

My brother spent nearly 8 months in this brain injury center, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. During his stay, he suffered at least five major infections while in a very vulnerable condition. What is most concerning is that these were never properly investigated or diagnosed by the medical team. We only discovered what was happening thanks to private healthcare that we had to arrange and pay for ourselves. It often felt like the focus was simply on keeping patients alive, rather than helping them recover or improve their quality of life. When we were finally discharged, my brother was entitled to a new wheelchair through his medicaid insurance. Despite requesting it in advance, staff initially denied this questioning our word. On the day we were leaving, they admitted it should have been provided—but since they had not arranged it, we were given an old, used wheelchair in very poor condition instead. It was shocking and unacceptable. The wheelchair lasted 5 months. Pathetic and unfair. Even more worrying, the institution continues to receive my brother’s disability payments. We have sent multiple emails requesting clarification, but they have not responded, while around $8,000 of his money appears to have been retained without explanation. No response... Overall, we felt that families were not listened to, care standards were poor, and there was a lack of transparency and accountability. In our experience, this center prioritizes financial aspects over patient care. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious.

My mom is on the first floor and it was very nicely decorated with pretty floral pictures on the wall. Her room was modern and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful.

I had never been to this facility, and was already quite nervous about visiting my friend who is suffering a serious climbing accident. The staff made me feel at ease with lots of smiles, politeness, and easy instructions. After I met my friend, he too talked about how much loved Northeast Center. Well done!
