Ferncliff Nursing Home is located on the western edge of historic Rhinebeck, New York, situated on 36 picturesque acres of the former Astor family estate. The community offers nursing home care within a park-like setting that serves residents from across the Hudson Valley.

The facility provides short-term and post-acute rehabilitation services through the Thompson House Rehabilitation Center at Ferncliff, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence to return home as safely and quickly as possible. Ferncliff also operates a Center for Advanced Memory Care, opened in January 2022, which specializes in dementia and Alzheimer's care using a Montessori approach that guides interactions based on individual needs and preferences each day.

The community offers a variety of recreational programs designed to meet residents' physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. Staff provide extensive clinical support, therapies, and recreation, along with emotional support for families. The facility maintains a comprehensive infection prevention initiative with ongoing monitoring by staff, including an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse at the nursing home and an Infectious Disease Medical Director.

Ferncliff is operated by ArchCare, the Continuing Care Community of the Archdiocese of New York, and complies with all Federal, State, and Local laws regarding fair housing and non-discrimination in health care services.
