This might be very lengthy, I have been known to talk on forever. But the shout goes out to the Blue Bonnet staff especially Stephaine his case worker. Dustin had spent 3 months with you all. He learned to trust them and got all choked up when expressing his gratitude for having them. Due to his injuries and state of mind they took him under their wing and he misses them dearly. Everyone there wanted nothing more than see him progress and helped him get better.<br>I included the case workers as well, she worked her tail off to see that he got what he needed. She also gave us hope just like everyone there did. Then the second part of his treatment, He was moved on to the next step of his rehab at the Tejas Center PABI and Laura along with Holly have been the back bone to that place and to our family, meeting with them we were impressed with the way they listened and addressed him like a human. Someone with TBI need's reassurance daily and they also need alot of patience. I truly feel he was suppose to be there. And that says alot considering everything he has been through. for the last 6 and half months the team showed the same compassion that was shown to him at Blue Bonnet. I have learned alot about TBI and spinal injuries from the staff and from self study. you can't put a price on someone's life. And the people that take care of your loved one is hard to find. I trust and have fell in love with alot of them. I can honestly say that without Laura his case worker, truly one of God's angels she looked out for him and he is used other ANGELS at Texas Neuro Center in Austin Texas for his care. There aren't enough words to express how much of a debt I owe these people.<br>Now it is time to move on, and I will miss them dearly. They kept me going and looking back at the journey Ms. Laura was there for us everyday for that part of our journey. Good bye is hard to say and pray that she will continue to be that light in peoples life like she has been in ours.<br>B. Miller

My mother had a stroke, and after three weeks of inpatient rehab immediately post hospital stay, we were afraid to bring her fall as we didn’t think she was strong enough and still wanted her to have the benefit of intensive rehabilitation. One of the OTs recommended TexasNeuroRehab to us - specifically the PABI facility. We came in incredibly nervous and were immediately put by ease with all the therapists, programming, nurses, and care techs. The facility really feels like a shared home, and they really encourage independence so that people can go home feeling confident. My mom had hours of therapy (PT, ST, OT) and programming each day, and they also have recreational therapy that included therapy dogs, art, gardening, etc. they were attuned to her medical needs and she was well taken care of in every respect. Upon her discharge, they had a huge celebration that brought her to tears. I can’t say enough good things about TNR - the people are the best you’ll find.

Our family member was at the Tejas Magnolia Post Acute Brain Injury (PABI) unit of Texas NeuroRehab Center for 3 months after leaving their Bluebonnet Unit. The time he spent there helped prepare him for being able to successfully go back to his home and be with his family. We are grateful for the exceptional medical care that he received from Dr. Filipetto. Additionally, he received excellent care from the day nurses, Tracy, Matt and Robin, the night nurses and all of the techs. He had great therapists who worked with him to improve his physical abilities, daily living skills, swallowing and speech, recreation and cognitive skills . The therapists were: Diana (speech), Karen and Rachel (PT), Rachel and Mary (OT), Brittney (recreation) and Julie (cognitive) and all of the other PRN therapists who worked with him. He was fortunate to work with a wonderful case manager, Laura, who was always there to help with whatever we asked her to do and program manager and augmentative communication specialist, Holly, who provided him with a means to communicate and always arranged everything he needed when it came to coordinating services. The PABI unit is a phenomenal place for your loved one to go to after they leave a rehab facility to prepare them to return to their home.

Our family member suffered a stroke in 2025. After being in ICU at 2 local hospitals and a long term acute care facility, he was transferred to the Texas NeuroRehab Center, Bluebonnet Hospital at our request at the beginning of 2026. It was the best decision we could have made. They immediately evaluated our loved one and developed a plan to assist him to relearn skills that were affected by the stroke. He received excellent care and support from Dr. Morledge, Dr Gilbey, her nurse practitioner, Allison, and all of the nurses, respiratory therapists, techs and staff on the C and D wings. His case manager, Stephanie was always available to help us and answer all of the questions that we asked. He was so fortunate to work with the wonderful speech therapist, Yongmi, occupational therapist, Renee, physical therapist, Cristina and physical therapy helper and fix it guy, Vern. They are responsible for all of the progress that he made. I hope that you will never need to go to a place like Texas Neuro Rehab Center Bluebonnet Unit, but if circumstances occur that you do, you will be eternally grateful that you decided to go there.

I was a patient here at Texas Neurorehab at 17 years old a few years ago now I am 20 and the staffs behavior was unacceptable. Whenever a kid hits a staff like before putting them in a hold they beat them. The staff wasn’t professional they would cuss and be hypocrites. Because when I cussed they got me in trouble yet they cuss at us. Hypocritical. Also that one time I think some 15 year old kid at the time brought his Lego’s out I think a staff name Mr. Jaylen was telling him to do something I don’t remember but then I’m guessing he wasn’t listening Mr. Jaylen kicked over his Lego box and Lego’s spilled everywhere. And he threw the Lego box up in the air. Also a staff named Mr. Gavin when I was beefing with a kid he would compare me saying the other kid is trying harder than me like bruh I earned my level for crying out loud plus you got me in trouble bc I made my bed the way u didn't want it. And when I reported everything to the staff about how Mr. Jaylen and Mr. Red was being verbally and psychically abusive by cursing out kids and beating on them for them hitting them first. They got mad and called me out saying that my apology was BS and started exposing how I got into a fight with a certain family member which I can’t say names. Then I was crying I called mom and she said stay away from the staff then I got pulled out and life gotten worse after a few months. So that is my experience. And I was sent out of state here so yeah 2/10
