Having a loved one here has been a terrible experience for her and family. Many falls, awful staff, including nurses and aides terrible communication over the phone, never return phone calls to family and ontop of that elder is involved and has contributed to making matters worse along with nys. I could go on, you get the point! I would rate it zero if I could.

This place is disgraceful my mother whom was my best friend was here for 9 days and then was GONE! Our family including my mother’s grandchildren are heartbroken!!! And my poor father that knew my mother for 62 years married for almost 60 years!! She should have immediately been back to acute care ASAP! She went to the ER 2 times by my direction! My mother told me one of those days she asked for some food upon returning from the ER & there was no food around there! Who does that to a terminally ill patient?!?! Staff told her it was too late to give her any food! Totally appalling! The communication at this place is sickening! It took this place 11-12 hours to call me and tell me my mother fell! Meanwhile my mother wanted to talk to me!!! While I was there my mother had to go to the bathroom. Staff said you went 20 minutes ago. My mother said I drink a lot of water. She said you will have to wait a minute. So I took my mother to the bathroom myself. My mother asked me to take pictures of her bruises. Then 6 days later she passed away! My mother fell at least FOUR times at Terrace View with what was reported to me! My mother told me she felt drugged up 5 days ago. My mother’s pillows were also bloody! They were so bad I had to throw them away! Staff is constantly are on their phones! DO BETTER!!!! New York State MUST shut this place down immediately before there are more deaths! The following pictures are pictures of my mother’s private room! My mother was walking and talking PRIOR to coming to Terrace View Long Term Care! I even asked a nurse for help with my mother’s bed sores and the nurse said she would help. She never came into my mother’s room. So I had to do it by myself! One staff member I could hear him in the hall complaining why do people in nursing homes vomit!! This is totally inappropriate! Family members were not treated with empathy or compassion! All we ever asked was that my mother be treated with empathy, love & respect! In my mother’s final hours she wasn’t and neither were her family members! If this place couldn’t care for my mother I would have GLADLY taken her home!! I even found dirty gloves on my mother’s tray at one of the visits! I had to being my own cleaning supplies to clean and disinfectant her room. It is unbelievable that they charge $500 plus a day at this place!!! My father and I were not even told that she was that close to passing away by any one at ECMC. I am appalled at the humanity of Terrace view! My Mother will have Justice & Peace!! My Mother cared about everyone! Everyone at Acute Care at ECMC loved my Mother! The nurses would not even give me a print out of my mother’s medications. She said it would have to be with social work! I would not even take a rock to this nursing home! Please if you love your loved one do not send them here! 🙏

I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy!! If I could give zero stars, I would!! Went to visit a friend last weekend. After checking in, we used the public restrooms and they were filthy!! Toilets not flushed, toilet paper all over the floor and sinks dirty. Walked into our friends room to see the garbage can overflowing all over the floor and tray, floors hadn’t been swept or mopped in a really long time. House keeping hadn’t been in there for several days. Our friends tray was sticky, gross and had used medical tape with blood on it hanging off the side of the tray. The dresser, night stand and window sill were covered random stuff. Nothing was cleaned, folded or wiped down. That was just the room. Then, our friend told us he had been calling for over 2-1/2 hours for help. His bed needed cleaned but no one came so there he laid. I had to find someone to help and housekeeping to clean. When they finally came in, housekeeping was less than pleasant. It’s no wonder people get Mrsa in a place like this!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!🤬🤬

My brother William Lehning had good care for the many years he was at Terrace View. Nurse Care meetings allowed me to be a big part of his care. The staff on Erie Basin Marina along with his social Worker, Marie, were kind and considerate of Bill. Carol RN was always pleasant and knowledgeable regarding his care. All the other staff LPN's, dietary, nurses aids he considered them as his friends and partakers in his meds and care. I was always called with questions or concerns. Bill died here knowing he was there with his EBM family. Thank you for his care. You will not be forgotten. Lois Kenyon-sister

Every negative statement made on here that I have read is completely factual! This place is FILTHY, the "meals" are a joke! There is not enough food to sustain a child, let alone an adult who is recovering from illness or injury and desperately needs proper nutrition. There is little to no schedule and it's even difficult to get a bottle of water. The attentiveness of the staff is lacking to say the least with a very, VERY small exception. My heart aches for the individuals who have no one to advocate for them and are not able to do so for themselves!! This is DEFINITELY NOT the place to send anyone you care about!
