If you are looking at reviews, unfortunately it means you have the tough decision of finding a place for your loved one whether it be long term or short term like we had to for my father. Sycamore Run is an excellent choice filled with amazing, caring people. My dad fell in December of 2025 and was also suffering from moderate stage dementia at that time. After arriving at Sycamore Run, his dementia had greatly worsened after the surgery and made him very tough to deal with; especially since he was a combat veteran with severe PTSD that experienced violent sundowning almost every night. Despite that, the staff was always excellent even though he could test the patience of anyone.

From the minute you step in there, you will find the facility is spotless and there are more people than I can even name who become like family to you. The front desk staff are kind and always greet you with a smile. His two main CNA's Eddie & Heather were beyong amazing and are two of the most caring, patient people you will ever encounter. Taryn, the admissions director, is always out and about with a big smile on her face and interacting with residents which is awesome and always lightened our mood. The administrator Carrie is very involved and a walking book of knowledge that was a great resource and helped guide our decision for Hospice Care. And finally, his main nurse Courtney was an absolute angel to my father and he always told us how great she is. There are so many others that were amazing but unfortunately I can't remember all of their names.

Coming from a family with careers in long term health care, we couldn't be more impressed and thankful for everything. You will not find a better facility in my opinion. This was incredibly important because my father ended up passing away while there. The compassion, support network and the grief we saw in those who treated him during his stay showed how caring these people are. The coordination with hospice and everything that happens after a death made it so much easier on our family.

In closing, you will not find a nicer facility filled with caring people anywhere in my opinion.

There was a recent incident involving a CNA and my mother who is on the memory/dementia floor. The administrator, Carrie Miller was not happy because I made a statement concerning said incident. I also requested a camera for my mother’s room. The administrator will not return my calls since this happened. I view her conduct has very unprofessional and what is she hiding?

Well I'm disappointed in the harassment that happens at the facility to family members as they try to visit residents iv been harassed since June of 2021 from being accused of drugging family member and other residents, told I wasn't allowed to take family member outside on nice days to ware and when I visit loved one. I take a dog to vist and had a nurse lunge at my animal with a needle and act like she was going to stab him with needle trying to get a negative response from so they could ban him from facility which failed he visits with all the residents he meets along the way .we were opening Christmas presents with family member and had several nurses barge in room and make accusations that we were up to something because we closed the door so other residents didn't feel left out, but staff accused us of smoking inside under smoke detectors in room and since been harassed ever visit since by multiple staff members who are not trained to identify orders but don't hesitate to make false accusations to the point of call directors and make a complaint and try to put stipulations on how when you can visit family members and if you refuse they call the sheriff to remove you from facility even though trained officer clearly states no orders presents on accused or in the residents room of alleged activities occur but yet I was still asked to stop visit and leave so I was forced to end visit because of false accusations wich is all based on a personal vendetta from needle Wilding nurse because of complaint about her to directors ,I would recommend that you don't put family members at this place because directors and staff act like they have more say over your family than you do and they don't respect patient rights or there property even if it's stolen out of residence room .family member had money stolen by staff and a tablet stolen by other residents and if you make a complaint to staff or directors if your lucky enough to get ahold of them or if they are not in a imaginary meeting, to say the least they avoid the situation, to staff refusing to allow residents outa there beds to the understaffed and verbal abuse of residents over all sad to say that facility has went down hill from management to the care of the building which has overwhelming odor of urine ,to the point we are moving our family member to another nursing home but staff is making it difficult, from refusing to share medical records with other homes to putting false reports in records in attempt to prevent relocation
