I find myself recommending Swifthaven to people in the community that i know are searching for the next chapter for their loved one. Not only am i recommending Swifthaven because i find them near and dear to my heart, but because i can trust that anyone's loved one would be in good hands. The director runs the facility like a family. She let's it be known very clearly what her expectations are of both her staff and residents. The director is very approachable and is quick to seek resolution if a conflict should arise. She is very knowledgeable of the move in and out processes of the facility, and any steps in between. I've witnessed the director tell the staff at a staff meeting that "you must treat our residents like they are your grandma's and grandpa's" "with the utmost respect" "no exceptions"! That is what a facility should be! Family and friends and feel like a home! That is what Swifthaven has been for many member of the community and communities nearby. FAMILY. FRIENDS. And a place to call HOME.
