When we had to make a decision to put my dad in a nursing home, I read every CMS report for qualified locations and toured. Rock Haven was clearly both the nicest with the best reports. I encourage folks who are reading reviews to dig deep. No facility will be perfect, and expectations need to be managed, but we had a very positive experience. The facility itself is gorgeous, and the staff were supportive and communicated regularly. I'm grateful my dad was cared for there.

Has any of the reviewers ever seen Cedar crest homes in comparsions? Staff is attentive and caring/compasionate here. All the nay sayers are complaining about not gettin in contact with administration when there is more than enough contacts to get ahold of and extensions to every unit to disprove that notion.

My mom was at Rock Haven for just over 2 months. The staff was wonderful. Responsive and caring. Any time I talked with one of them they told me what a kick my mom was, which made me feel comfortable knowing they were checking on her and taking care of her. We couldn't have been happier with the care she received.

I am totally concerned about my mother's care here. They really dropped the ball when my mom had covid and honestly was not checking in on her as they should. I came in town noticed her condition was horrible. She was gasping for air, seemed extremely confused. I basically demanded to take her vitals and her oxygen level was extremely low and she ended up going to the emergency room that night and was hospitalized for covid. I am convinced that if I wouldn't have come in town that weekend I wouldn't have my mother today. Things are slightly improving! I'm just so concerned I can't rest easy and hope and pray that things continue to change.

My father has lived at Rock Haven the last two years. The building is beautiful, the staff attentive and caring. My father didn't like the food when he first arrived but has adjusted. The staff treats him compassionately, but they are overworked and sometimes can't be found. Laundry is a huge problem. His clothes go missing and he ends up wearing stuff that is not his. He isn't always groomed as well as we would like (shaved, hair combed, fingernails trimmed).
