WARNING ‼️ Please don’t put your loved one here. I chose 1 start because no stars wasn’t an option. Our mother suffered multiple falls/injuries and emotional distress. Unfortunately, the staff (although some of them quite lovely Elena, Chrissy, Katrina, Nicole, and Connie) didn’t receive enough training for Alzheimer’s/Dementia individuals. Windsong lacked adequate staff especially overnight when Sundowners really kicks in. The dining facilities are sub par. Mom lost more than 50 pounds in a year. But, she would eat well when we cooked for her. Shannon, the care coordinator and John the manager could not provide adequate safety measures yet could decide her monthly rate would increase from 6k to 12k because of “ heightened needs” . We ended up moving to Taking the Journey in Petaluma (KELLY IS AMAZING!!) to live out her last 2 weeks of her life.

I cannot say enough great things about Windsong of Sonoma. It is far superior in every way to comparable options. From our first and subsequent visits, each staff member was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the communal rooms was bright and cheerful. The resident rooms were clean, warm and “homey.” The courtyards and gardens were lush, well kept and inviting, yet safely secured. The restaurant food was healthy, varied and available to residents all day. The resident community is happy, active and inclusive. We especially appreciate Lisa Lomeli for introducing us to this wonderful residential opportunity.

I visited this community last week. I can't get over how friendly everyone was. They all greeted me so warmly, made me feel vey welcomed, and just showed so much caring. It feels like a really special place.

Transitioning my grandma to Windsong has been an incredibly positive experience. Because she was moving from out of state, the process was especially complex for us to navigate—but Windsong supported us every step of the way. In one sentence, stepping into Windsong is like stepping into a warm bath of kindness and service. People are always eager to support my grandma, and as a family, we feel genuinely welcomed. They’ve created a safe, warm environment, and the staff seem truly happy.<br><br>During the transition, Lisa, the sales manager, communicated thoroughly and was consistently responsive and kind. Lauren, the director, is warm, attentive, and always on top of things. Nicole, the Vibrant Life director, continually creates a fun and engaging atmosphere, and Alicia, the Resident Care Director and nurse, is incredibly supportive. Every staff member we’ve encountered has been kind, patient, and attentive. I couldn’t recommend Windsong highly enough—it’s a real relief to know my grandma is so well cared for.
