As a retired Physical Therapist, I have been to this assisted living many times for different residents for home PT visits. I found the facility home like, clean and welcoming. The staff was involved with whatever resident I was seeing and consistent with any follow up that was needed. The facility provided privacy for their PT sessions as needed. The residents had a variety of activities at their disposal. This facility maximizes what is good about assisted living if the resident cannot be supported adequately by family in the home setting. I would recommend it highly to anyone who needed an assisted living situation.

Sunflower Hill Assisted Living offers a wonderful environment and compassionate care. Coleen and her staff go above and beyond to offer residents care that is only available in such a lovely, home-like setting. I trust this facility and recommend it.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Owner of Sunflower Hill when I was looking for a place for a long time elderly friend who was truly like family. She not unable to go back home after a brief hospital stay. I toured a few facilities that truly seemed very dark and depressing. One if the head staff at one if those homes visited her at Longview and refused her due to her dementia. When I went into Sunflower Hill, it was so bright and cheery and full of life. The staff were busy cooking amazing home cooked meals and engaging with all of the residents. I knew this was the perfect place for her being such a small facility and getting a lot of one-on-one care. It was a heart adjustment for her at first, leaving her home of 50 years and going into a strange place but the staff was so patient, kind and caring and worked hard to earn her trust. She lived there until She took her last breath. She was treated like a human with such tender, loving care and dignity until the very end.. They never missed a resident’s birthday and Celebrated every holiday and some fashion by decorating and playing music and made cookies and had birthday cakes… It truly is a family there. At Christmas Coleen would be there with her children and her husband gift giving with the residents And giving time to Staff to spend the holiday with their young children. If someone asked me to rate the facility on a scale of one to five, I would give them a 10 ⭐️ rating. If I had to place a blood family member in a facility, this would be the only one that I would take them too. They give so much patience, love and kindness to their residents. The facility is very clean and the meals are amazing… They make sure they get all the proper medical care and keep very good notes and records on a daily basis I cannot say enough good about this facility and for anyone out there in need of a facility for their loved one I would highly recommend Sunflower Hill.! This assisted living is WAY overpriced. Coleen the owner likes to up-charge different families almost 2k more than others. Coleen is an ignorant and disrespectful person. If you think your loved one is safe in their care, you’re wrong and you should reevaluate your options because your loved one may randomly end up on the streets in Baltimore ALONE. I would actually give this place zero stars if I could.
