The staff is wonderful! If I could give them 10 stars I would. It’s a small place and it was easy for mom to get into her groove. Very comfortable with plenty of activities. Lovely dining room.

The food is horrible, cold, and overall undesirable. The activities calendar is often wrong and changed without warning. Limited capacity for outings and often get cancelled. Often extremely fowl odors throughout the facility. Laundry is not clean and smells sour. Residents are left waiting for medications and treatments. High rate of incidence reported to the state.

My Mom moved to Summit the fall of 2020, in the midst of COVID-19. From the moment she moved in she was welcomed, cared for and treated with great respect. The staff is stellar, each member well trained and suited for this level of caregiving. They all became like family to my Mom and as her memory deteriorated that became more and more important for us. My siblings and I felt peace knowing she was in such caring, capable hands 24/7. From Elizabeth at the helm, Maegan, her right hand person, to each of her assistants, aides, kitchen and housekeeping staff - every member of the team is wonderful. This is a small assisted living facility with an attached full care wing in the event your loved one should need more care. My family cannot say enough about our Mom’s care for 5 years while living at Summit Place. We are forever grateful for each person who took her into their care and hearts and made her last years the best possible.

Summit Place Assisted living community has a very warm and welcoming environment. Liz Martin, RN, really takes pride in her resident centered care and you can see all the residents are very well cared for and happy!

My Mother lived here for her last six years of her life. She felt comfortable, safe and well-cared for as needed. She lived there through the many months of Covid, and although she had opportunities and invites from family to come home for a period of time, she wanted to stay there. That is quite a positive review in itself, as those were difficult times in assisted living communities. It felt like home to her. The staff was easy to communicate with both in person and on line. They were attentive to her needs- both large and small. Kindness was everywhere. The building and rooms were kept clean. The decorations were seasonally changed and were tasteful. As we are a large and extended family, we were in and out for visitation and quick drop-offs of items Mom wanted. There was never a time that we saw things that were demonstrating lack of care for any clients. Residents were happy, clean, involved and welcomed quick interactions or chats. Staff were busy and friendly. I’m thankful that since my mother needed ongoing help with daily living needs, that she was able to settle in at Summit and feel like it was home.
