They helped my mom through a server stroke. They pushed her to do physical therapy even when she could barely sit up and I’m so grateful they were this aggressive since she made a lot of improvement. My instinct would have been to let her rest and now I know that immediate period after the stroke is so important for continued movement. My only place for improvement would be to have more staff but I suspect that is something they would like as well. Keep doing the hard work!

I highly recommend this facility. Staff is excellent, facility is clean and food is good. They all work as a good team: the nurses, occupational, and therapy. Many good people here: Theresa Kitchen Manager, Nick Occupational therapist, Renny Physical Therapy, Charles NOC shift CNA - they were all supportive, attentive and helpful.

This place more than deserves five stars It is warm, professional, and the staff is highly motivated well educated and made a difference. Day after day that I could see. In my husband Carolyn, Vince, Oriana, Lorelai , And Marcella, we’re all outstanding in their care and in their character Never felt rushed, never felt ignored. Never felt that I couldn’t ask a question. This is truly unusual I would say this place is a sparkling gem of kindness, compassion, and excellent care You will never feel concerned about your loved one getting the best care because it is so evident LD Bursten

Mom had a great experience staying at Summerfield for 4 weeks following discharge from hospital. They addressed multiple health issues and she came home much stronger and resilient than she went in. The facility may be look run down, but it is very well-run, the staff is excellent across the board, the CNAs are very kind and competent, as are the RNs, PTs, OTs, SLP, doctor and administrators. All residents are treated with kindness, compassion, respect, with focus on their overall well-being and healing. I would say that the food is institutional, but I was able to request menu modifications, and some menu items were home cooked and excellent. I feel very fortunate we were able to be referred there.
