Wow, what a great surprise. After touring assisted living facilities all day I finally struck gold. Stonewall gardens is everything I’d want for assisted living. The studio and one bedroom units have private and shared patio spaces all on one level. The grounds are landscaped beautifully featuring both outdoor and indoor common areas for socializing. Posted activities are provided daily with shuttle service available several times a week. I couldn’t be more pleased to have found this gem!

I highly recommend Stonewall Gardens for independent living. It is a small facility with beautiful outside common areas, and there is a community feeling among the residents. The staff listens to the residents and are open to making menu changes, policy changes, etc. based on their feedback. My uncle is happy here and has made new friends, while having his accessible private room all to himself. Brian Trout, Executive Assistant, has been kind to him and communicates with me as needed. Brian was especially helpful when my uncle had a fall during the night, needing hip replacement—he brought essential items to him, served as an advocate, and kept me “in the loop” as to my uncle’s condition. This is a kind, caring facility where my uncle has found his new home.

I LOVE this place! Their staff is the most caring, compassionate, and proficient group of people you could ever hope for to care for you or your loved one. The caregivers and med techs are well-trained and highly skilled at what they do. My wife is a resident at Stonewall. She is always made comfortable, kept clean, presented with delicious and attractive meals, and looked after by warm and friendly staff. The happiness of the residents is the number one concern of staff members. The Executive Director, Brittany and her assistant, Brian are the ones who bring it all together and keep everything running smoothly. I cherish Brittany because she gave me the priceless assistance I needed to get our long term care benefits approved. Literally could not have done it without her. My friends and I look forward to when we can move into Stonewall Gardens Assisted Living!

My brother found Stonewall Gardens when he needed an assisted living facility. He was living in Santa Barbara but wasn’t comfortable with what was available, even though he taught pottery in some wonderful elderly locations around SB. He wanted a place where he would find like-minded adults and be in a purely gay environment. It was a perfect fit. Stonewall Gardens and Palm Springs are as wonderful as it gets, my new favorite spot to visit. They allow the residents to create their space; art classes, dominos, yoga, and more. Whatever a resident would like to do, the staff helps to facilitate that request. Excellent Health Care facilities are close by, including a state of the art physical therapy clinic. It has given me a peace of mind for my dear brother, we have been through a lifetime of experiences and I feel deeply that he is getting the proper care. When I visit, ‘everyone’ welcomes me graciously and I feel like it’s home. And they contact me whenever necessary, 24 hrs a day, and that eases my mind. I am on a first name basis with many staff, as I visit as often as I can. Living on the east coast has its limitations. But I trust that Stonewall Gardens has all its residents best interests at heart. It is truly a wonderful place to live. Thank you for your excellent care.

I am so thankful for the vision and creation called Stonewall Gardens Assisted Living! I was fortunate January this year 2024 to have connected with Mr Brian Trout who worked diligently on behalf of my 80 year old friend & mentor who now resides the past 6 months at Stonewall Gardens and from our view is thriving. Having some background in geriatrics from my youth I continue to be most pleased and grateful with the dignity, diversity, love and care that Stonewall is providing for Robert! I can give my highest recommendation as I had searched from Colorado to California and again am most grateful that Stonewall exists, had an opening as they are boutique which makes them unique and are a blessing especially for the LGBTQ community. With Gratitude, Paul Chet & Richard P Wheeler
