My mother-in-law spent several weeks at Stonebrook Health and Rehabilitation Hospital in Los Gatos, and we could not be more grateful for the care she received. From the moment she arrived, the staff was attentive, compassionate, and truly committed to her recovery and well-being. The nursing team was exceptional—always responsive, patient, and kind. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure she was comfortable at all times. The therapists were equally impressive, creating a thoughtful rehabilitation plan and encouraging her progress every step of the way. What stood out most was the genuine warmth of everyone at the facility. It never felt like just a job to them—they treated my mother-in-law with dignity, respect, and personal attention, which gave our family great peace of mind. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Overall, our experience exceeded expectations, and we would highly recommend Stonebrook to anyone needing skilled nursing or rehabilitation care.

Their PT and OT are outstanding. They are very knowledgeable. They can explain muscle movement etc. instead of giving you exercises from a random list as is the case in many other facilities. Anyone who is sent to Stonebrook should consider themselves fortunate. Also, their residence facilities do not have the typical smell of so many of these places.

It is with a heavy heart I post this review. There are some very good therapists at this facility, nurses and workers who work hard in difficult jobs. But after our family's recent experience at Stonebrook, I feel compelled to give a rating so maybe other families will be spared. My elderly mom was miserable here. Long wait times (sometimes more than an hour) after pushing the button for help was probably her major complaint. After a couple weeks, when Mom no longer needed extra oxygen or a catheter, I sought to get her released. We had received absolutely zero communications from administration, doctor, therapist, no one. I asked a nurse how to get her released, and was directed to case manager Nejat. Nejat gave me some promises but basically said we needed to wait until officials signed her off. Over the course of the next two weeks, I went to Nejat's office three different times, each time more desperate than the last. Mom was in the most miserable state you can imagine, dying a little more in spirit each day. We were desperate to get her home. Despite my pleading, I got nowhere. Nejat promised phone calls with updates, then never called. I can't even describe my anguish on behalf of my poor mom. Ultimately we had to bring in outside help (nursing director from Mom's senior living home) and basically ambush the place to get her out. It felt like she was being held prisoner. This facility seriously needs to re-examine their release policies. No family should have to go through this kind of trauma while seeking the best for their loved ones. It is just cruel.

My mom is getting really good care. Staff. Very attentive and keeping up with her medication routine. Getting her bathed and fed. It's quite a task running a top-notch facility with so many needs. Impressive. Very clean place and friendly staff. Can't ask for better

First of all I came in to visit my mom and she had what looked like a blood blister on her lip and on the same side of her face I saw she had a bruise on her head . Nobody knew anything, nobody saw anything. They tried to say it was a cold sore on her lip, it was definitely not a cold sore. She has never had cold sores. It was more like a blister from a fall or something. I took pictures. Also they lost her glasses never did find them. I brought a suitcase full of clothes for my mom and when we went to leave only very few things were there. Nobody ever knows anything . I would like to know what happened to her clothes? I need reimbursement for all those clothes. That's a lot of money! The one good thing was the physical therapy people were great. The staff needs better communication between them and letting us know what's going on. So much more I could say not enough time .
