Trust me, anywhere but this makeshift of a short term stay rehabilitation and nursing home stay. My father got transferred here on Tuesday, my sister had suggested a chest X-ray to check for pneumonia cause he sounded gurgling and congested, they gave a paper the following day starting no pneumonia. Got a phone call at 1am following Saturday saying they were moving him because his oxygen saturation was really low, we asked where they were moving him to, and the response they didn’t know… Emory hospital later at 5:40am called and said our father had died at 5:13am from PNEUMONIA and Sepsis. I for the life of me don’t know how this place is allow to keep their doors open. Horrible, filthy, staff is people off the street it seems with some of them not even having a CNA certificate at the least….

The ONLY positive aspect I am able to give regarding Rosemount/Stone Mountain Run Nursing Home is, I TRULY hope Journey Healthcare will work at making the facility a pleasant experience for ALL the patients, residents, etc. In addition, for family members or responsible caregivers considering to choose this location for individuals needing short term, long-term care, whatever the case maybe, please make sure to visit for observation and inspection before a decision for placement for care is completed. My mother was basically forcibly placed in this facility for some supposedly rehabilitation before I was able to visit and make a conscious decision on whether to move forward with care for her at this facility. The actual day my mother arrived at this location was ABSOLUTELY surprising, and do not mean in a happily surprising manner. It was all devastating, an EXTREMELY long story made short. For twenty long days I was in the backscene creating a plan to remove her from this facility. I do NOT recommend this facility for specialized nursing care for anyone the cherished and loved. They are prone to lose their spirit and thrive to get better. However, each to their own perspective, decisions and choices are made based each individuals selections that are important and whatever makes them happy and comfortable in life. Good Luck!

I’ve had a love one in residence since 1/2025. Never experienced a nursing home before. After 3 consecutive falls, while in there for rehab, she’s never been able to return home. The conditions continue to be deplorable, even after several promises were made by owners. Now, I and my family are suffering with Scabies, received while visiting my loved one. We were told rash was from food, maybe soap or lotions…however after 2 months of serious rash, gone then returning, all over her body, accompanied by severe itch on her and roommates bodies, I started to voice my concern. Well…when a Dr was finally asked to look at these two dementia residents, it was found that they have been suffering from scabies!!! The problems caused by lack of supervision, empathy and dismissive attitudes towards dementia patients care continues to concern me everyday.

Although things got off to a rocky start, things have improved a lot. The pills are with meals now, the NAs help my wife get dressed and undressed for bed, the therapy has increased so that my wife will be able to come home again soon, she loves the home cooked meals here and her laundry is not misplaced. They’re try real hard to please her. They also are doing the best they can under difficult times in getting my wife to dialysis. I’m sorry about my bad review, it was written from my viewpoint which was a poor observation of what I thought I saw. When you’re there as often as I am, you see only the bad things and overlook the good. Again, I’m glad that my wife likes being there. There’s always room for improvement even at home. I think I was so upset with this place is predominantly because I don’t forgive myself when I mess up with her care at home. I expect others to do more for her in my absence, and that’s really not fair of me to do. They’re human and not perfect, and so am I. If you are looking for a nice place for your love ones to get better, this is the right place to go to. If you read my poor review before then disregard it. The care here has improved a lot.

I'm here at Stone Mountain Run. Nice looking facility and clean. Some of my CNA'S are Fatu, Kylee, Jermama, Diamond, Ms. Q, Brittany and Faye. They work hard and are very efficient. There are other CNA's that have cared for me too. They are great as well, but I forget their names bc there are so many. They have great nurses and Nurse Practitioners here. Doctors too come in to see you for your medical needs. I am receiving wound care, OT and PT. The Physical and Occupational Rehab is awesome here! These therapists work hard with their patients. I couldn't walk when I entered. These two therapists, Lee and Shannon had me walking within a week. I have made a lot of progress with the exercises they have me doing. I've even lost a couple of pounds which I needed to! PT and OT Therapists are so knowledgeable and encourage you to work hard and my hard work is paying off. They also have great activities to keep your mind strong and occupied. Brianna, the Activity Director leads in this area. I would recommend.
