St. Paul's PACE Chula Vista

St. Paul's PACE Chula Vista is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) serving seniors age 55 and older in Chula Vista, California. The center opened on L Street in 2012 and provides comprehensive medical and social services designed to help seniors with chronic medical issues remain living independently in their own homes while receiving the support they would otherwise need from an assisted living or skilled nursing facility.

The program offers a wide range of medical services including access to specialists such as audiologists, optometrists, dentists, and podiatrists. Participants receive help with daily living challenges and have access to social workers who can assist with anxiety or depression. Many services are provided by bilingual practitioners, with translation services available as needed.

St. Paul's PACE operates a large day center with a full schedule of activities designed to support social engagement and overall wellness. Participants can enjoy puzzles and board games in the community space, along with scheduled arts and crafts, pet therapy, and exercise programs. These activities are structured to improve mobility, memory, coordination, and mood over time.

The center was named St. Paul's PACE Akaloa in recognition of a generous gift from the Akaloa Foundation. St. Paul's PACE in Chula Vista was established in response to the city's recognized need for medical and social services for low-income seniors in the Chula Vista area and surrounding communities.
