St. Martha's Center has been awesome to my father. Since he moved in, I've been kept in the loop via emails and phone calls letting me know his progress. He looks good when I visit him and is in good spirits. He's well-fed and loves to visit the library and the beautiful chapel! He attends all prayer services and rosaries. When I mentioned to one of the nurses his hands were bothering him from arthritis, they immediately took care of it. I highly recommend St. Martha's!

Nobody wants to be in a nursing home by choice. The staff have gone above and beyond to make me smile and laugh. The nurse Jaylyn and B have wonderful personalities. I have been widowed for 10 years. It helps having caring staff that will listen and provide companionship. Night nurses are attentive to my CPAP machine

Elder care is a tough industry... it is constantly squeezed by cuts in healthcare-spending, the inflated-by-design operational cost structure of the industry, a perpetually underappreciated demographic, and challenging health issues endemic to the elderly.

The team at St. Martha's is by no means immune to these macro factors; there will be rough spots among the team and within the services. However, this facility does a better job than most of navigating these conditions to fulfill what is clearly a mission-driven desire to help. Yes, there will be long waits on overworked, understaffed teams. Yes, there will be facility issues that go unaddressed for a day or three. However, the place is largely safe, clean (immaculate, really), and staffed with people who genuinely care about your loved ones recovering here. The food is terrific and the dietary needs are professionally managed in a holistic way. They made visiting easy, while still maintaining the necessary controls of such a location.

The PT team did am exemplary job of getting my 72-year-old mom back on her feet and moving again. She went from being bed-ridden following a severe bout with sepsis to being back in her own home with 3 stories of stairs (yes, despite her being able to do it, doesn't make it an ideal situation and we are working on that with the help of St. Martha's Independent Living team) in 3 months.

If you are reading this review, you are likely in an unfortunate situation already. My advice is to manage your expectations of any of these facilities given the state of the industry overall. After a ton of research done by my sister and me, landing on St. Martha's was an educated decision. That decision had its tests during our mom's stay, but at the end of all of it, I would highly recommend this caring team that ultimately proved their practices with results.
