My original review: My Daughter and I visited a competitor and were so dismayed with the competitor's treatment of dear people that we almost cancelled our appointment with St. Augustine Plantation Memory Care. What a mistake that would have been not to have visited St. Augustine Plantation Memory Care. From the moment we entered St. Augustine Plantation's new facility, obviously designed for memory care, we sensed the difference from other competitors. The facility, the management, the staff, and the feeling of warmth were our first impression. That first impression has proved to be strengthened and not eroded. The facility has lots to do - outdoor backyard experience, inside patio with what looks like virgin Florida forest for a view, a Living Room that makes one feel at home, great room for activity, fellowship and dining, and an activity center. The rooms have outside views of the same forest. My wife has been more than lovingly cared for which I cannot express how that has helped her and me. If asked to make a recommendation to improve the care and facility, I would be at a loss of what to say. The staff treats my wife, and me, as I visit nearly every day, as part of the family. The management has sat down with me and asked how they can help to meet our goals. The level of their compassion was a surprise. I have never given a recommendation before of any kind, but St. Augustine Plantation Memory Care deserves my first.<br>The honeymoon is over! These are nice people, but I withdraw the entire recommendation.
