My sister recently received PT/OT and Nursing services from this agency. Every person who came was excellent. Very personable, professional, and encouraging. They called the night before and arrived on time. I would give 10 stars if I could. I have also recommended this agency to others needing home health!

Everyone in the LHC group is wonderful, both here and the Emporia office. They all work seamlessly together to make sure their patients are cared for and given the care they need to not only live at home but thrive. Lakesha is readily available to answer any questions we as a facility may have and I can always direct our patients to her to answer any questions in regard to home health. I highly recommend Southside Regional Home Health.

On arrival, the workers at the front office were pleasant and friendly. That is the only decent thing I experienced at this establishment. The current neurologist has an extremely foul attitude, has issues with respect, and is overall a terrible doctor. As soon as I began discussing my mother’s problem, he told me to speak louder, waving up his hand, with an attitude. This was the beginning of my negative experience. As my mother started crying, he took that as a sign to write off her obvious neurological issues as “psychological trauma,” saying that nothing was wrong with her. Previously, I took her to the hospital, and they diagnosed her symptoms as a severe concussion. When he asked if she hit her head or not, we replied with uncertainty. He immediately assumed that she did not hit her head during the fall, doing the opposite of what a thorough doctor would do. He would not listen to what either of us had to say about her symptoms, and continued to be problematic to work with. He was obviously rushing to be finished with us. On our final straw, we decided to leave. We communicated our feelings to the doctor, telling him just how disrespectful we found him to be. When we left out the door, THIS MAN FOLLOWED US TO ASK IF WE HAD A LAWYER!!!!!! WHEN WE REPLIED NO, HE WENT BACK INSIDE!!! The audacity baffles me. We did absolutely nothing to anyone there to deserve this kind of treatment. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! THIS MAN SHOULD NOT BE A DOCTOR!!

Nurses do not show up on time. They do not call you and let you know a time frame that they will be at your home. I have continually had to call to find out when or if someone is coming to my home to change my dressing. Told by one nurse that they make their on schedule, and they can put their kids on the school bus and pick them up, so my thought is while you are getting paid to do a job, you are making the patient wait until you have finish your running around. You have no problem billing my insurance for payments, so in the same aspect , I expect to get the care I am paying for. Have not been happy with this Home Health Group.
