Somerby is a friendly and upscale community of seniors who are happy to be living here and appreciate the amenities surrounding them. The management team, including Tamika Moore, is focused on providing a professional, kind, and caring style of interaction with residents and staff alike. It’s a great place to be!

My family has been shopping around for assisted living places for my grandfather. The actual facility was fine, but the experience after viewing was appalling. Jeanette would not stop calling, pressuring us to put a down payment. She also told us different down payment requirements while touring than when calling. Not only did she call us nonstop, she also called my 91 year old grandmother pressuring her to put a $5,000 non refundable deposit! I would not recommend even touring this place due to our experience. I understand they are trying to make the sale, but the number of calls bordered on harassment.

Somerby is a very special place. My mom has dementia, and when she moved there into the Lilac Trace memory care unit, it quickly became "home."<br><br>We found this lovely place because I was determined to seek out the best memory care facility in the Birmingham area for my mom. After doing thorough research we toured the six most highly rated memory care facilities in the area, and Somerby stood out. It's impeccably maintained and beautifully decorated while still being comfortable and unpretentious. The food is fantastic and served in courses for a very gracious dining experience. But above all, we are grateful to Somerby for its wonderful staff.<br><br>The administrative staff, the nurses, and the caregivers are warm, compassionate, professional, and helpful. Two employees in Lilac Trace have consistently gone above and beyond for my mom and our family. Pat is a fantastic nurse. Her calm, reassuring manner is a beautiful thing. She is a kind-hearted and respected leader as well as a wonderful resource for families. Aliyah is an exceptional caregiver. She is sweet beyond measure, beloved by my mom, and extremely helpful. These are two employees who exemplify the Somerby way of doing things. Our special thanks go out to them!<br><br>We love Somerby and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a senior living community.

My bill had a charge that was not correct, so I went into Bobby Brown’s office and asked him to look into it. He turned around and took the charge off immediately. One can’t beat that kind of service.<br><br>P.S. He does need to clean his office and file all the stuff lying around. A visitor would not think very much of him with his office in shambles. I certainly didn’t.
