My sister, Carol was there for 2 years. She had some good times and the staff encouraged her to make friends. Everyone helped her and genuinely went out of their way to make her happy. Especially Erica Holmes whom I didn’t recognize and thank often enough. Also Dewiet the director. He would personally check on my sister when her journey got harder. After two years I thought Carol needed a fresh start and a move to a memory care. She’s adapting slowly but it would have been hard to do even if she would have stayed at Morningstar though in some ways I wish she would have stayed. Carol also loved LaTarsha and Shiela and many others that are no longer there. Thank you Dewiet and Erica and the whole team.

We have been so thankful to have had both our parents at MS assisted living .<br><br>The facility is very nice and kept very clean, but what made it such a great home was the people that work there! The staff and administration are very attentive to the residence needs and show genuine care. There were special relationships developed with those that cleaned , distribute meds, worked at the front desk, care givers (several who went above and beyond), and those that served in the dining area were very attentive and welcoming. Their chef makes such good food with lots of options, too. Having their attentive nurse and an on sight medical care and PT option made such a difference.<br><br>After one parent passed and the other needed to move out of state, it was like saying goodbye to family. We as a family are SO grateful to have had them live at Morning Star!

Our family had the most amazing experience with MorningStar Senior Living of Parker. My mom moved into the memory care unit in 2018, she was battling Alzheimer's/Dementia but was still very young. The number of activities that were offered were amazing; everything from pet visits, sing alongs, church services, field trips, games and crafts. The staff was extremely attentive, and care was top notch from the nurses to medical staff and even the local fire department and ambulance transports to/from the hospital. MorningStar was always striving to provide better care and services, not just to the tenants but also the families. There were increases in communication, and the addition of a new app for everything from tracking activities to planning meals. There were a few falls and bumps throughout the years, my mom tried to stay very active and constantly was doing "yard work" in the outside common area, and I received a call every time - even if there were no injuries. I could get ahold of folks there at the facility if I had questions or needed something and we established periodic care calls to check in on her condition and any other medical concerns that might have popped up. I went to visit every week and it was always very welcoming coming in the door. I loved Friday afternoons when the musicians came in, seeing everyone participate and sing their favorite songs from there era definitely put a smile on all the family member's faces.<br>Everyone from the executive director to staff and back-office team members were always so helpful, I can't thank everyone enough for all their efforts and making our experience amazing for so many years.<br>I highly recommend MorningStar of Parker for their loved ones.

I’d really like to give a higher rating, because the staff are very kind and responsive. The facility is clean. The food is the problem. It’s over seasoned, over cooked, heavy with lots of butter and sugar. Fresh fish only once a week. My mother is mostly pescatarian. There really are no options for light, healthy meals except for once or twice a week. The vegetables served? Well maybe 3 small over cooked pieces served with the meal. I am guessing there are folks there that would like healthier choices. People with digestive issues that can’t eat fried greasy foods or heavy creams. Honestly if I ate what is offered on the menu I’d gain 20lbs in a month. It’s expensive to live there and part of why we chose this place is because meals are included, but so far the meal choices have been poorly lacking. We’ve tried to work with the management team and there have been small improvements but not enough to justify the cost. My sense is the profit is priority over food quality.
