Silverstone Memory Care on Packard Street took excellent care of my late father, who had both Parkinson's and Parkinson's Dementia. The staff is very friendly, caring, and professional. Communication from the management team and rest of the staff was frequent, and we were notified of any changes to my Dad's condition immediately. The activities for the residents at Silverstone are above and beyond what I have seen at other memory care places. The activity director is creative and engaging, and my Dad enjoyed participating at the capacity he was able to until he went into hospice. The set up of the home is great - we all loved the big patio outdoor area with a walking path and bird feeders, and the fact that the doors to the patio are not locked - the residents are allowed to go out whenever, as the care staff is able to see them through big windows. The main common area has a lot of natural light and the whole building is full of comfortable furniture that makes the ambiance very inviting and homey. The food is great, and I loved that they have snack carts that are wheeled around a couple of times a day in between meals to make sure nobody goes hungry. Cleanliness of the whole building is also above and beyond. Dad's room was always clean and neat including his bathroom, and the common areas always smell fresh - it doesn't feel/smell like walking into a hospital/care home environment with chemical smells at all. Silverstone also employs separate cleaning staff, cooking staff, as well as activity staff, so the nurses can concentrate on taking care of the residents. This is very important - we had Dad at a different home where the nurses had to do all four jobs, and just didn't have enough time so things weren't getting done. When Dad went into hospice, both the regular staff at Silverstone and also the hospice staff were great and so helpful with everything. I can't recommend Silverstone enough to anyone who is looking for a great memory care home for their loved one. 15/10 we loved it.
