I am the owner of Silver Spring Personal Care Home and visit often. Our leadership team is doing an amazing job with the staff and residents. The residents are like family to me. My mom visits often to the home and has made friends with our residents. My residents know more about my mom and what she is doing than I do. I love this place and the residents. This place is becoming what I dreamed it would be and more.

The building and interior are indeed as beautiful as other reviews note. However, as someone who visited my loved one frequently, I would strongly discourage anyone from placing a family member at Silver Springs Personal Care.<br><br>Based on my family’s experience, my concerns involved the following areas of Pennsylvania personal care home regulations:<br><br>§ 2600.20 — Staffing and supervision<br>§ 2600.16 — Reportable incidents and conditions<br>§ 2600.25 — Resident-home contract and notification responsibilities<br>§ 2600.123 — Personal care services<br>§ 2600.228 — Reporting and investigating incidents and accidents<br>§ 2600.32 — Resident rights<br>§ 2600.101 — Resident living units<br>§ 2600.181 — Medication administration<br><br>The problems I encountered were serious, repeated, and unacceptable. They were significant enough that I removed my father from this facility after only about a two-month stay because of concerns about his care and safety. I filed four urgent complaints with the Department of Human Services over a two-week period in March 2026.<br><br>The attached photos reflect conditions and incidents I personally observed, including a dirty floor over multiple days and a medication cup containing pills and water left in the room for hours. These are only two of the photos I have taken to document conditions, etc.

Silver Spring Personal Care Home is a beautiful, modern, and very clean facility with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers good variety, and many staff members are hardworking and dedicated to the residents’ care.<br><br>Our family member’s transition had some challenges, which is why I’m giving four stars instead of five. However, management responded with professionalism, grace, and compassion. Their willingness to listen and make improvements speaks volumes about their commitment to quality care.<br><br>Overall, Silver Spring is a well-run community, and I would recommend it to families looking for a caring and comfortable place for their loved ones.

My 100 year old mother has stayed here numerous times while my husband and I travel. She loves it and we are happy that she is safe and well cared for. The food is good and the facility is clean. All the staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend !
