My husband and I moved into a lovely apartment two years ago. He has Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s dementia. We’ve had a few small ups and downs here, but I can truthfully say everyone who has care for my husband (now skilled memory care) has been a pleasure to work with. And, I’ve made wonderful friends who have helped me through some tough moments and decisions.

DON’T MOVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.<br><br>If I could leave zero stars, I would. All of these retirement facilities are the same: FOR PROFIT. They don’t care about your loved ones well-being. They will suck their funds dry and milk their assets for all they’re worth, and when the money runs out they make up excuses to move them to their isolated “memory care” wings to wither and die alone. I can say that because that’s exactly what’s happening with my grandmother there.<br><br>All I can say is read the fine print of the contracts before moving your loved ones here. Once it is signed, your loved one has ZERO independence or free will. They own you.<br><br>Messiah Lifeways, you should be ASHAMED for how you treat your residents. You don’t care, you just want their money.

My husband and I, along with our dog Bella, moved into an apartment in the residential community at Messiah Village a year ago and we all just love it.<br>Before moving, in anticipation of possible future needs, we researched nursing homes on Medicare and found Messiah Village was the only 5-star skilled care facility on the West Shore.<br>We want to award our Resident Life residents, staff, and facilities 5 stars too! We wish we had moved here years ago.
