This is my fifth night at Sherwood Healthcare center. I am receiving very good care and have developed a rapport with many of the RNs, LVNs, CNAs .Sometimes, for me, I'm very pleased with the type of care I receive. Sherwood is a very well established older facility. The rooms are spacious enough, it is clean, and of course the staff work very hard to keep things running smoothly. I am in room 25AB with a roommate. We seem to have the cooler and quieter area of facility.. sometimes I can hear the purr of the trains on the tracks that are nearby. Carol has been with Sherwood for over 30 years. She is amazing at her job, try hard to accommodate patient's needs. The Sien is in this facility are very good about providing fresh ice water in the pitchers for us. I feel it every time you ring the call button for something they try their best to accommodate our needs as soon as possible. They're very quick. The fear of Sherwood is a very professional and will run facility. The doctors and all the staff are very helpful. Nurse address issues and progress, expediently and strive to keep the patients any good rehabilitation environment. The PT department is very much involved in making sure that we have what we need in order to rehabilitate properly. My feelings are very positive about this facility.

I had an opportunity to walk through the building recently and the facility is very clean. Administration and staff are very friendly, communicative and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility!

We chose this facility based off of ratings on the govt website and the hospital. My aunt had a stroke and was only here for 9 days and in that time fell out of bed and had to go to the ER because staff hit her head while trying to get her back into bed. There is not enough staff for the amount of residents that are there, which means they are stretched thin, making it difficult for staff to respond to the call buttons - which creates the most obnoxious buzzing sound that’s just constantly going off. This made it impossible for my aunt to sleep along with other residents yelling at night. If your family member is not able to take care of themselves or advocate for themselves I would choose a different facility. My aunt cannot use the left side of her body and has some confusion due to the stroke and was essentially helpless unless a family member or friend was there to help. Leaving her at Sherwood was nerve racking because we did not feel she was being taken care of. The moment we had the opportunity to switch nursing homes we did and it has been a night and day difference. When my mom went to pick up my aunts things they would not allow her into her room and instead they placed her items in garbage bags. All of the items on my aunts night stand and in her drawer were not returned.

Sherwood Healthcare Center did an outstanding job assisting my father's rehabilitation, which resulted from his falling in his home. My mother and I visited other rehabilitation centers in Sacramento. The administrator at Sherwood was extremely helpful and provided in-depth information about the programs and procedures there. The staff at Sherwood treated us like family. My father needed assistance with healing, but thanks to the staff at Sherwood, my family was healed through the experience as well. Thank you, Sherwood!

This place is horrible! It seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. I was told it was because it was weekend. The room i was placed in was extremely small for 2 beds. Everything was old and rickety. Didn't look clean. I was afraid to be there. I was there less than 24 hrs. I checked myself out ama. I am supposed to be on special diet and I had to tell them that it was wrong. I am renal diet and I was given a breakfast fullnof potassium and phosphorous. Thank goodness I know what im not supposed to eat. I was not given access to shower or any thing to clean up. Train kept me awake, plus a man wasyelling and screaming all night for someone to change i His wet bed and then someone was yelling back for him to STFU! I was shocked. Especially for 3am or so. I still feel creepy from being there. I had to leave for my well being. I just felt so scared. Never go here.
