Community amenities include a full-service barbershop and beauty salon, activities room with books, games, puzzles, television, and exercise equipment, pleasant common areas with a fireplace, and convenient access to nearby shopping, churches, parks, and medical centers. The facility schedules numerous monthly activities both on and off premises for residents to participate in and enjoy.

Sheldon Meadows welcomes small dogs, cats, birds, and fish as pets. Residents must register their pets upon arrival and annually; pets require a collar and tag with owner identification. Guest pets are permitted when properly restrained. If residents are unable to care for their pets without assistance, staff support may be provided based on an established fee schedule.
