Such a wonderful caring place. My Dad absolutely loves it here! I would actually rate a 5, but as it seems in most nursing homes today, there is never enough help, because they usually don't pay enough. These residents have shaped our lives and community, and deserve the absolute best! And for what the staff has to work with they are fabulous!

I am very grateful to the personnel who make Sheffield Care Center the Kind of place that when you leave your elderly family member after a visit, you feel they will be well cared for My mother had been sick and was in the hospital needing a place to go to for long term care. They were the first place who had a private room with no active Covid at the time. We live in Mason City and I wasn't sure I would like that drive, but now looking back, there was not a better place for my mom. They put themselves out helping me make decisions or simply that no decisions were needed yet. I saw their administrator, walking halls, talking to patients. She, along with the social worker helped move my moms belongings in. People from all departments were ready to talk to you and answer questions. Director of nursing along with nurses called to inform me about any changes in my mom's condition and changes in meds or treatments. They were all very kind to mom as well as me. Activity director helped mom start a puzzle. The young guy who is a CNA and the social workers son was adored by my mom. He always seemed to bring a smile to her face and was so kind to her, as were all the CNAs. It turned out to be the best choice hands down for her to live her last months. So Thank you, Katie, Mindy, Bonnie, Julie, Makayla, Nichole and any everyone else whose names I never got to know for the care you gave my mom. And please excuse my spelling on any names I misspelled. I wish I knew the correct spelling and everyone's names whose empathy and calm nature and and had any effect of my moms comfortable, painless passing.
