My mother received great service from Sequoia.
We received thorough service in the way of follow up. Nurses and Team reached out to us when we had questions, provided us with updates on mom’s care but most of all made mom feel comfortable every time they came to visit. Very polite and patient with Mom.
4 star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My father started on hospice at Sequoia but we ultimately had to transfer him to a different hospice provider due to several issues, including poor medical management, lack of consistent caregivers, and assignment of incorrect equipment when he moved from his home to an assisted living facility.

Many of the staff at Sequoia were wonderful and showed great compassion for his condition, which is the reason for a 3 star rating. The office was responsive when called and pressed, but not as proactive in care management as I would expect of a focused provider organization. On balance, however, once we learned that my father was not receiving the appropriate care that he deserved, we had no choice but to change providers.

I had knee replacement surgery and physical therapy is so important the hospital makes you walk with a physical therapist the day of your surgery. William came out to do paperwork and told me a physical therapist, Rachel would call me. I am supposed to start physical therapy the 1st week at home. After 1 week from my surgery, no call from Sequoia. I called to cancel with them. I was told Evan was supposed to call and come out which he never did. He should be fired. The outcome of my knee is dependent on physical therapy right away. I feel William is OK and a responsible person. I know if he was coming out that he would be there. He gave a couple of physical therapy pointers even though he was there to do paperwork. He didn't tell my dr office the whole story and made it seem like I just changed my mind and cancelled with them for no reason. The problem is he manages other therapists. Sequoia has no idea what their physical therapists are doing or not doing at all. I needed to have physical therapy with a place I can count on. I would not recommend them for home physical therapy at all. Now, because of time to get another authorization elsewhere, I will have missed 2 weeks of physical therapy. Ridiculous.

I had Rachel work with me and she was very helpful very kind and considerate and wrote down exercises for me to do. I’m not very good at doing them because I’m still in a lot of pain, but she gave me good advice and watched me do what I could. Thank you for asking.
